At last, the stupid skateboarders, curtain dancers, roof acrobats, martial arts man, street gang, and other nonsense have gone and been replaced by a circular look.

Bit weird these new idents though aren't they?

I think it was time for a change, but these ones are a bit strange... They're very random, and not very interesting, to be honest. They might grow on me, anyway- or at least i would hope so!

The other ones were on there for so long - its great that they've finally changed although, they'll be changing again even quicker ready for the Xmas lot won't they :rolleyes:

We've had these previous ones since early 2002, which is quite short actually for BBC1. When I was little we had these idents in blue, made out of card, and they lasted for years and years and years.

I will never forget the Girl and her scary clown - that used to freak me out when I was younger!! And it was always on screen just before Playschool etc

Have they really been on that long! Crumbs - I thought they had been changed since last year! Shows where my brain has disappeared to lol

Anyway I haven't seen the new ones yet as i've been out but while we're on the subject can I just say I can't stand ITV's style with the cows in the field and the bloke looking in the mirrror?? :confused: :thumbsdow Hope they get sorted sooner rather than later !! :banned:

Yeah I think it is about that long cos I found an old ep of EE on tape from about 2003 and they were like that then. :) Shows how much of bbc's programming I watch lately to have not realised how long they've been on.

Why do they have to fiddle with these things anyway? In my day you had the same TV logo for decades, and now they barely last a matter of months.

Testcard F with Carol Hersee. Her late father pioneered that in the late 60s. In my day it took up more screentime on the BBC than the programmes themselves! It was on not just all night, but all morning and into the afternoon, except schools programmes. Those were the days.

It only gets seen on BBC these days about one hour a year, when the analogue transmitters get repaired during the night.

Love the BBC:clap: !! I love the new idents as well, so well done but i am going to miss the dancing ones. Okay, i know they were unpopular but i am soo used to them now and i liked them especially that tapping one, the skate-boarding one (my fave) and the rave one!! ITV'S are awful!!:angry:
