New drama: Nigel Harman stars as Nathan - a man who's been in hiding for 18 months, but when a glamorous young woman arrives in the coastal town where he's been living, he lets his guard drop.

What does everyone think will it be a success and become a series?

it was a one off drama to see how well it went before they make it into a series, so you wont be watching it next week!
i really enjoyed this so i hope they do a series of it.

I turned the thing of after about 50 minutes, mindless rubbish, all that talk about Lobsters then all the daft acting, there was me thinking Nigel Harman just struggled with the EE scripts, but low and behold he just cant act. I wanted to enjoy it simply because I enjoy Brian Cox's work but Im so angry I gave up 50 minutes of my life on this garbage.

It really reminded me of the drama/adventure series produced enmass by ITV (ATV, Granada and Thames) in the 1960. (The Champions, The Persueders, The Saint, Randell and Hopkirk (des) etc

They really seemed to be going for the retro feel with the credits etc.

Nigel Harman might not be the worlds best actor, but there is something about him that you empathise with.

The script was average - but I would probably watch again occasionally if they make a series. (Especially if it is raining and my husband is away on business - that was my excuse this time)

Harman outside in the cold

EX-EastEnders star Nigel Harman’s spy thriller has been axed — after one episode.

ITV bosses said that The Outsiders lacked humour.

About £10million was spent on the pilot, which pulled just 4.7million viewers on October 4.

An ITV insider said: “We thought it would be a nice slick thriller. It’s a shame because we like Nigel.”

I taped it just because my mates like Nigel, i never thought it would be my type of thing as it was described as a "James Bond" type show, i keep flicking between this and SuperNanny the night it was on, didnt look very good, still not got round to seeing it though as i still dont think i will enjoy it but least i have it on tape and i can foward through the boring bits

I switched off after 15 minutes. It was crap. Nigel, bless him did the best he could with the dire script. Err i dont get the ITV insider though, i thought it wasn't supposed to have "humour"?
