ITV bosses struggling to book stars for I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here are desperate to sign up ex-Hollyoaks babe Gemma Atkinson.

Gemma, 21, who played sexpot Lisa Hunter in the Channel 4 soap, is one of the few celebs who hasn't said "No" to this year's stint in the Aussie jungle.

An insider on the hit show presented by Ant and Dec said: "They're finding it nearly impossible to bag anyone this year so Gemma would be a real catch.

The problem is there are so many other options for celebrities to make it on reality shows. No-one wants to live off basic rations and be forced to eat bugs when they can learn to dance in a nice warm studio." Even Abi Clancy, on-off lover of England striker Peter Crouch, and camp decorating duo Colin and Justin have turned down ITV's offer to appear in the sixth series of the show which starts in November.

The insider added: "Producers are tearing their hair out trying to get a good line-up. They're under even more pressure after Love Island flopped. They've got their work cut out in the next few weeks."

Rachel Stevens is rumoured to have signed up.

Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren is reportedly jetting off to the Aussie jungle to appear in the next series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

ITV bosses are hoping that the punk rocker will create even more of a stir than band frontman John Lydon, reports The Daily Star.

Lydon walked off the show three years ago after ranting about the conditions.

The 60-year-old music guru, who masterminded the album Never Mind The B*******, will also want to show his old friend up.

The duo have refused to speak to each other since the band split.

Last night a TV insider said: "Malcolm is a major coup for us. We hope he will be just as controversial as John Lydon was.

"He doesn't hold his tongue and that could cause a few stirs around the camp fire."

The next series of the show will hit our screens in November.

Louise Redknapp will take part in the next series of I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here, according to The Sun.

A source told the paper: "We've had meetings with her, and are very keen on getting her on board."

Recent press reports have also linked singer Rachel Stevens and actress Gemma Atkinson with the popular ITV1 show, which returns later in the year.

Redknapp currently has several projects in the pipeline, including new solo material and a stint presenting a revived version of BBC One's The Clothes Show.

Her former bandmate Kelle Bryan recently appeared on Love Island, narrowly missing out on victory.

You would have been fabulous in the jungle, eating kangeroos' testicles etc, and just think of all that research you could have done for season2 of CUWTW!!! lol

Seriously, I cannot think way anyone would want to go into a jungle with a group of egocentric hasbeens/wannabes, and be filmed 24/7.
