Which internet browser do you use?

I've always used Internet Explorer, but had troubles with it randomly crashing. Now, a friend told me to download Opera, as he said its the best browser around (Better than Firefox as well, apparently, which i was surprised about...). Now, i use it all the time, and find its much more reliable than IE.

This also relates to another part of my ICT work, so once again, if theres any particular reason you use one browser over another, then it would be a great help for me.

Yeah, that means you use Internet Explorer. If you use anything else, then you have to download it, so you'd know. Most people use IE though...

You should convert to Opera. Its a lot better- mainly because it doesn't open up hundreds of windows. It opens one window, and all the sites you are on go onto tabs within that window... if that makes sense.

I've never tried Firefox though. I thought it was the most popular one after IE.

That sounds like a good way of doing it, i always have problems with windows because when i boot my pc up i have this unwanted thing open up that i cant get rid of (its a right pain i must say) and its always coming up i have to many things open for my pc to work efficiantly so i have to close stuff down

I use IE never tried anything else, dad uses Mozilla firefox on his and ive been on his a few times so i have tried it a bit but it confuses me

I use firefox, it's safer than IE. Firefox also does tabbed browsing now which is great, it also has a popup blocker in it, so i get less pop ups appearing. i wouldn't change to anything else though because i made everyone in the house go onto firefox and well... it was hard work!!

I use BT/Yahoo Browser as thats the default one, but if I want to get online quickly without having to sign in etc, then I use IE. I prefer the BT/Yahoo one though as its tabbed, like some of you have said about yours too.

I did use BT/Yahoo, but downloaded Firefox today as BT/Yahoo kept closing down etc and didn't seem to block pop ups even though the pop up blocker was turned on. OMG, I can't believe the difference in speed! This is my new fave :D

Its Firefox for me all the way. I've not tried IE 7, but as far as I'm concerned they are playing catchup to Firefox.

Its definitely using far less memory whilst running - I feel like I'm on broadband again, instead of dial up (which is how it was starting to feel). I wouldn't go back now thats for sure.

I'm not sure about changing the themes or anything on here though - would there be anything in particular that would be recommended (seeing as I'm new to Firefox)

I just did a google search on Firefox, and as far as i could see, its got exactly the same features as Opera does (which i'm using), apart from the fact you can change the interface on Firefox. Is that right?

If anyone else has any experience of Opera, that is.

So is Opera the default theme thats used then?? Or is it different?

Does anyone know what the different themes do, or is it like changing the skins on here?

I'm loving it though. I'm still amazed at how fast it is. Seems my old browser was definitely using too much memory when running.

Opera is just a seperate browser you can download. I was just trying to work out if it is pretty much the same as Firefox, or not, for my coursework

For personal use, it is firefox but some of the necessary applications at work need MS IE and unfortunately MS 7 will crash these applications too

I use Safari on the mac at home, and IE at work. The kids both use IE, but before I got a mac I was using Firefox. I tried Opera for ashort while on the mac, but prefer safari.

(What I really mean is that my hubby randomly changed things - and I just put up with it, lol!)

The one thing I have found is that my internet banking won't work on firefox, so I need to open IE for that, but otherwise, so far its definitely a lot better.
