Aw bless well done to Connor on his first day at school. Debs I'm proud of you hun for not bawling at the school gates. When Marley first started school she was at the back of the line and when the teacher told the kids to come in she came from the back of the queue and waltz in without as much as a good bye for mum, while I stood crying and feeling sorry for myself wondering what I was supposed to do with myself for 1 1/2 hours
Well done Connor,i think it upsets us more then them! Bet he loked dead cute!!

today was different when he went in and he wasnt sure. TA wasnt there it was a different person and wheras yesterday they had to do stuff with us at the table but could get anything out today they were only to do stuff on table! Connor wasnt impressed at all and had a strop and didnt want me to go. I got home and cried i dont like leaving him like that
i think it so much better when they play, line up and then go in. Instead of us taking them in and satying for activites!!!

It was my son's very first day at school last tuesday. He looked so big in his school uniform and when he arrived I think the realisation kicked in for him as he seemed so nervous. I ended up getting a little emotional and found it hard to fight back the tears to be honest.
When we went to fetch him, My husband brought him a batman (the original cheesy 1960's version) film which he loved. Although to balance it out we had to buy his little sister a Barney dvd so she did not feel left out.
How are you doing today Debs hun? How was Con this morning?
All of Ci's friends that started last week have all loved it so far. My friends little boy doesn't even want her to go into the playground with him, but shes put her foot down there obviously!!
Ci can't wait for January - its been great that he goes to preschool for 2 full days and a half day including lunch though, as it gets him used to being in a school environment for a full day (and its bliss for me too :D lol )

Ci's preschool seperates into two different primary schools. Unfortunately, his best friend started school last week, so Ci's missing him a bit already and will be in a different class until Year 1 now at the earliest, plus by the time Ci starts, his mate will have made loads of new buddies, but Ci has got a fair few at preschool already, so should be ok (she hopes lol)
I was a january intake at my school, they stopped doing that now near me. I just remember being told do do something and ended up kicking the teacher.
Glad he had a good second day, hell be getting into the routine soon.

My lil angel starts big school on Monday :( He has to start on Monday along with a few others because he was born in the summer time (May).. That's how it works around here :searchme: Oh I don't want him to go.. :( Mum's already sad as it is too.. :(
He dosen't really want to go to school either but he likes trying the clothes on and stuff
On my first day I cried because I didn't want my parents to leave me  :(
Ciaran starts on Monday too Spicy - have taken pictures of him in his uniform as I know I'll be in too much of a rush on Monday.
Monday for the first week hes going 9-12, second week 8.55 till 1.15 then full time from the third week. Liam is going to miss him loads, as they are so close. And I will too.... :( (even though hes been doing 3 full days at preschool for the past year lol)

That's how i started i was born in august so i started after christmas but it's changed from the now and everyone starts at the same time now.
I find it strange how in some areas they still have 2 intakes and in others its just the one...
Where Ci is going to school, only 10 pupils started in September, but the intake for January is 20 or so.
Ci is really excited though, he is apparently taking after his older brother in the brains stakes and his preschool key worker said he was more than ready to go to school in September. He reads us his bedtime stories instead of the other way round! :rotfl:

I thought the Sept. and Jan. system only happens around here.. It's quite new to us, since me and my sis were both born in Oct and started like usual in Sept.
Mum wanted to take some photos earlier but I didn't let her.. I never thought about the rush.. So I guess I shall suggest it to her (:p) and do it tomorrow!!
Mum let bruv stay for lunch at his nursery but I don't think he ate much so she brought him back home.. His nursery times used to be like 9-12. At the school he's going to go to he's going to have to start doing full days staight away.. I think your ways better though as they can get used to settling in first.
I'm a bit worried about him making new friends as his mates from nursery might have gone different schools.. around 3-4 around here!! He's very quiet too and dosen't speak much, sadly that's only in school  Joke!
He reads us his bedtime stories instead of the other way round! :rotfl:
 Loooooool!! Aww bless him!! It's great to hear he's doing so well!! :D x
I started in January to, we had Oldie moldies and new dooeys or something in my reception.
They scrapped that idea soon after and they all start in September now. I preferred my way.
