Sherrie Hewson is returning to Coronation Street for a couple of episodes, I can confirm.

The actress who most recently played Lesley Meredith in Emmerdale, is to reprise her Cobbles role as Maureen Elliott.

Sherrie is to start filming at the end of October and will be on screen at the end of December.

I flaming hope shes not permanent, I dont like the actress or the character and am unimpressed with the decision to bring her back.

I really dont like the actrees yet she seems to get roles in absolutly everything.

I remember her. She was with Reg Holdworth, and then she went off with Kevin's dad. Is that right?!

Was she something to do with Fred as well?! Elliott?! I can't remember.

Just looked up some details and yes she was married to Reg but she also married Fred.. maybe she is coming back for his funeral???? :searchme:

She was only in her first week of marriage to Fred I think when she went off with Kevin's dad and isn't Kevin's dad due to come back soon and have a fling with someone on the street.

Kev's Dad is coming back into it too in the next couple of weeks so maybe they come back together - not sure what the storyline would be though. Read this in one of the weekend papers - can't remember which one but there was a picture of her with Kevs Dad and also Reg. Hope they don't bring him back, don't think I could cope!
