Zaf has infiltrated a British Al-Qaeda cell and is living alongside two young Muslim extremists in an attempt to influence one to become an MI5 double agent. But the stakes are raised when the cell's leader announces a plan to attack London with a state-of-the-art bomb.
Adam and Jo decide to intercept the bomb from the arms dealer, while Zaf and Ros accelerate the mission to recruit a member of the cell; they select Michael, whose ex-fiancé, Leigh, can be used to turn him. Adam and Jo attempt to buy the bomb but the dealer gets violent, forcing them to abort the operation. Adam is furious when he discovers that the bomb has already been sold to Zaf's cell.
The bomb is delivered and the cell are about to drive it to a central London location for detonation. But Leigh arrives and tells Michael the truth – MI5 have been using her to try to "turn" him. A struggle ensues and Leigh is killed by Hanif, the other Al-Qaeda cell member. Michael turns against Hanif, beating him unconscious. But Zaf convinces Michael that they must act like they are going through with the operation so that Zaf can retain his cover and continue to use the cell for intelligence.
The rest of the team soon discover that the mission is a suicide attack, and the delivery van will explode with Michael and Zaf inside. Adam races to intercept the moving vehicle, but can he reach them in time?
