Hey there i have come up with an idea where i will interview the creators of the soaps that are currentley on Soapboards. I will be doing this evrey week starting with Devon Seas creator BondBoffin, BB will reply with his answers.

First of all BondBoffin i want to congratulate you and Abi on a fantastic season of Devon Seas. How do you feel the first season went???

What was your personal favourite moment in Devon Seas last season??

Who would you say is your favourite charecter in Devon Seas??

You finished Devon Seas on such a huge cliffhanger any hints on who has been shot??

First of all BondBoffin i want to congratulate you and Abi on a fantastic season of Devon Seas. How do you feel the first season went???

Thanks, we were really pleased on the sucess of the first season, I didn't imagine that much intrest would be shone with the show, but more and more people seemed to cotton on to and become addicted. It's the fan's eagerness for the next installment that gave me the motivation to write more. Looking back at the first season, and seeing all that's happened and how character's have developed, it certainly is one big acheivement.

What was your personal favourite moment in Devon Seas last season??

It has to be the confrontation between Hilary and Siobhan by the pool, I based it on Alexis and Krystal's legendary fight in Dynasty. It was finally good to see Hilary knocked off her post as top bitch, their were some fun lines in that scene, and it was a joy to write. I think any scene that involves a one on one with two fiesty females is always a pleasure to write, bitches are the best to write for!


Who would you say is your favourite charecter in Devon Seas??

You can't make me choose! I like many different characters for different things. I suppose if I was made to choose it would have to be Val, for the amount of comedy and one liners she provides, however season 2 will see a completley different side to her character, when she is forced to fight the big C.

You finished Devon Seas on such a huge cliffhanger any hints on who has been shot??

How can I reveal my biggest cliffhanger to you!? Well let's just say... the end result of this storyline will be explosive for all involved.

What do you have planned for the second season of Devon Seas??


My main aims are to bring to a head the storylines of season 1, in spectatular style, and introduce some new recurring storylines that will run troughout the second season. I also have plans for many new characters to liven up the show, which means sadly I have to get rid of some of the dead wood... but who will face the chop?

You have a new family soon to arrive in Devon Seas The Ashworths tell us what we can expect to see of them??

Well the mini seires Thicker Than Water should be giving you all an indication of what they are like. Like the Barnes to the Ewings in Dallas, The Ashworths will be the Taylor's biggest rivals. They are more powerful, wealthier and more glamarous than the Taylors, their is going to be many min rivalries, with characters moving from one side to the other troughout the season, bitch fights and punch ups and gauranteed.

Which charecter would you say is the one to watch next season??

Hayley O Brian! We haven't seen much of her yet, but she will have one of the biggest storylines this season. She might appear sweet and innocent now, but trust me she is quiet the opposite, all i can say is watch out Patrick and Amy!

With there now so many Soaps starting up here on Soapboards which soap would you say is your favourite and why??

I like them all in their own ways, it may be a cowardly response, but I don't want to say I have a favourite, my favourite would be if they all combined into one, each has a superb elements to them, so if they were put together they would be a kick ass soap, but not better than ds! :D (Only Joking! :rotfl: )

ah an intresting insight to devon seas there...as a huge fan of DS I have to ask when is it coming back any idea's...I know im not BakedBean but I have to ask the question we allwant to know when is DS coming back?Im having withdrawel symptoms now:)

Brilliant! I was waiting for you to reveal a date to us when Devon Seas will be returning, i can't wait until season 2 begins and the cliffhanger is revealed!

Looking forward SBBB2 starting up again, didn't really get involved in it first time round but i will this time.

You have had a fantastic first season of Hinston High which ended on such a high and returned bigger and better than ever what can we expect to see this season???

First of all, thank you for everyone who read the first season of Hinston High. This season, i can promise will be bigger and better than the 1st season. The 1st season was introducing characters and storylines but this season you can expect the current storylines to progress and conclude. One of the big storylines this season will be surrounding Greg/Kat/Chloe..Kat's obsession with stealing Greg's watch and tampering with his car brakes can only get worse and it does! Also there will be lots of catfights in this season.


While taking a break from Hinston High you came up with the idea of Bad Men tell me where did that idea come from???
Well while taking a break from Hinston High, i was really missing writing scripts and one day as i was watching Bad Girls (which i am a massive fan of), i decided to write some scripts on a spin-off set in a men's prison and post it on the boards, that's where i got my idea from, watching Bad Girls.

Will you be bringing back Bad Men in the near future???
I can reveal that there will be a Christmas special of Bad Men that will be written in December but a whole new series has not yet been commisioned and i am not sure if it will be as i may be too busy with Hinston High as this season lasts a lot longer than the 1st season.

What would you say you prefer Bad Men or Hinston High???
It definetly has to be Hinston High! Probably because i have made lots more plans on it than Bad Men, and i really enjoy the characters and storylines that i have created a lot more.

Who would you say in Hinston High is your favourite charecter and why???
My favourite character is Tanya Campbell. I just love writing her lines and she has a vulnerable side and a bitchy side, plus i have made loads of plans for her character, including a massive storyline for her and her family in Season 3.

Will we be seeing any new arrivals to Hinston High in the coming months???
There will be a few new arrivals to look forward to in the coming months including big bitch Megan Blatchley who will be joining the soap later this month as a waitress at the cafe. Also a new mechanic will be arriving in January by the name of Damien Stokes, taking Greg's place at the garage following his exit which will be written in November. Also Frank and Dave will be returning from Spain!

What has been your favourite storyline so far in Hinston High???
I have enjoyed all the storylines that i have written for Hinston High so far and it's really tough to choose but it has to be the Danny/George storyline where Danny pushed him off the waterfall and the aftermath where Danny ran away and shot his own father! I loved writing the scripts for these!

Dale Cooper, is the writer of Exeter, Soapboard's longest running soap. Today I am here to ask him a few questions on Exeter, Past, Present & Future.

Exeter has been on Soapboards for a while, having lasted 4 seasons, what have been your personal highlights of the show so far?

What have you got planned for the remainder of 2006, and the start of 2007?

Which Characters would you say are the ones to watch out for this year?

The next season of Exeter will sadly be its last, how do you plan to finish the show, and do you have any other writing plans for the future?

Exeter has been on Soapboards for a while, having lasted 4 seasons, what have been your personal highlights of the show so far?

I really have loved evrey minute of writing Exeter. My personal favourite moment would have to be the 200th episode which saw evil Alex attempt to take his revenge on his dad Andy but did not succeded. The evil Alex storyline has been my favourite of all time, and there is plenty more to come of it!

We have seen so many characters come and go, who has been your favourite so far?

I have had a lot of favourite characters there is so many Paul Ramsay is the one on the top. Paul was someone no one could trust but he got away with evreything and still managed to cause chaos. It was really hard writing out Paul but i knew the time was write for him to go.

What have you got planned for the remainder of 2006, and the start of 2007?
There is a lot planned and not alot of time. We are going to see Lucy and Andys feud heat up before Lucy leaves in the new year, but there will be twists and turns. Im also going to focus on Alan and Trudys relationship near the end of the year and Max Palmer will stir things up. Kat and her son Warren are two characters to watch they really are intresting and they both have alot of secrets. Also we are going to see Ric Grand fall from grace when he suffers a stroke and i really want us to get to know his past before he leaves Exeter at the end of the year. Then there is Phillipas return and she will have alot to do with the Palmers. Finally there is the season finale which will see a showboat go up in flames but who will be trapped inside and who will survive???

Which Characters would you say are the ones to watch out for this year?

Andy and Jenny Macklin, these two have been around since Chritmas last year and they have had alot of storylines. Also Warren and his mum Kat there relationship im going to see how evil Warren can get.

The next season of Exeter will sadly be its last, how do you plan to finish the show, and do you have any other writing plans for the future?


I cant say how it will end but what i can say is that you have not seen nothing like it, the whole final season will be a build up to a final climax with a huge cliffhanger. At the moment i have no other writing plans but who knows what the future holds maybe i will bring Exeter back maybe i wont you will just have to wait and see.
