Well, I have to say, that over the last few years Ive not been a huge fan of eastenders management etc/... have been very cross and upset over decisions made regarding actors in the show, espically Den, the whole bring back and then kill off again ! Which was a joke ! But.........

Ive watched EE lately and thought maybe there is some hope after all, the whole Branning family is just great !! In fact Fing Great. Max brings this presences to the scene that reminds me of dirty den in his good days. Tanya is fantastic just like a mature Angie ! Bradley is interesting because he is so straight laced and he lives in Albert Square.

The new person Sean Slater is great he has that evil inside him that makes him as good as trevor etc/.... Its the unsurspecting thrill of him !

Even the nasty Stacey Slater, Dawn Miller and Carly Watts have started to get some proper back bone !!

Eastenders needs to bring a good old family that we know back into the fold, I think the additions to the Watts would be good. The Mitchells have had it and as taxpayers to the BBC I think we should have a say. I mean if Grant, Phil and Babs are the highest earners then something needs seriously to be looked at! I mean £360,000 for Phil mitchell to get his eye blacked on a telescope is just stupid !!

Its good they are closing the book on Jamie Allen which is proper ! So many doors and left open that should have been closed along time again ! Like Michelle and Grant !! Something that appears never to be sorted !!

I love that some people in eastenders are trying and the brannings etc is good but something has to be done about the rubbish !!!

But in the meantime everything is perfect.

I am sorry for grammar and spelling but Ive had a bottle (ok 2) but my words are my opinion

Love to you all

i to have noticed a big improvment in the last week or so.but i think its down to the writing a good few have been sarah phelps episodes and i'm a bit worried that in the next few weeks it will slip again when the boring writers write boring storylines

Last week was very good with the WCCT.
Yes they do have some good characters now which I noticed last week, Rob, Sean, Al, Victor and I agree the brannings are shining, Max/Tanya/Bradley which I am glad about, as I have always been a Jim/Dot fan, with the new additons to the family it provides a wider scope of storylines for Jim/Dot and also we are finding out a lot about Jim's past, so is Dot!

Rob and Dawn make a good couple and I hope that the writers keep up the standard of last week with these two and don't let it slip, they can really go places here.

Sean Slater is a good addition to the Soap and if handled correctly he could almost pass as the new Nasty Nick in time, although we don't want an exact copy cat scenario which I don't think it would be.

Going by last week overall, I'd say things are starting to look up...

I can see Rob and Dawn been a modern day Bonnie and Clyde.. ripping people off and making tonnes of money.. Get a good scam going with these two.

It's been really good recently with the new characters and families, i hope they can keep this up for next week when Honey has her baby.

Great idea Siobhan:D Now that Dawn has been given a good script and paired with Rob she has become good again (or should I say it's looking that way) I took to Rob almost instantly (no it wasn't for his looks:lol:, although he is:love: ) but I could see his potential. I can also see Rob being a good influence on Dawn. I'd like to find out more about Rob, his past etc and his marriage.

I agree there are some great new characters, espec Max/Tanya/Al/Sean/Bradley/Rob those are the main ones for me who are looking good, just hope that we're not let down. I have to admit although I have pulled Enders apart lately, this is mostly due to the way they have treated and destroyed existing characters, it is starting to show signs of improvement.

Last week they had the right mix of comedy, emotion and drama. They want to keep this up, i.e one week have it mainly comedy with a mix of drama and emotion as last week, next have it mainly drama, with a mix of comedy and emotion, then mainly emotion with a mix of comedy and drama. I think if they alternated things like this it would work, plus it would give each viewer more of their own preferred "viewing" time/storylines.

Anyway it looks as though it may be going the right way as this week it sounds as though "Emotion" is being concentrated on. (Haven't watched yet, I wait until Sunday)

Not sure about the Dawn and Rob thing, although I like the idea, but surely this would just be one storyline and then they would be left with nothing after that, because no one would trust them.

EE is going the right way this, but as someone said that might be just one persons work, lets hope all the other scriptwriters get the same idea.

:hmm:
