John McCririck is to take part in a celebrity edition of Wife Swap.

The racing pundit, who caused outrage with his misogynistic rants on Celebrity Big Brother in 2005, will swap wife "the Booby" for battleaxe politician Edwina Currie.

"Viewers should expect to see fireworks," a source told DS. "Especially when Edwina tries to force John into the kitchen - for the first time in his life."

The episode is due to air next month.

Edwina Currie was a polition during the whole Samenela (sp) scare.. I would love to see this. John is a lazy sexist git who believes women should have big breast (hence the booby comment) and stay in a kitchen.. Hope Edwina whips him into shape
