In tonight's episode (Thursday) I thought that Sean had a very similar character to that of Dennis and in one point even walked like him when he followed Stacey up the stairs, I know that people might have already figured this out but i was just wondering how desperate Eastenders has become to replace Nigel Harman although I think they have done a good job to get someone so similar.

hell yeah, i noticed too! when he was sitting in the kicthen i was like 'oooh he looks like Dennis!' which is a bit odd coz she did kinda fancy Dennis...oh well. maybe its just because they're directed the same way.

He will never match Dennis in looks or character wise.

I think it was probably just a coincidence although I have to say the dress sense seems similar. Maybe that's what it was.
It has been said in the magazines and in various interviews and stuff he is like the 'new dennis'. Not that he could be :p

OK I was wrong. Having read week 37 spoilers I think it's clear the producers were on the lookout for a 'new Dennis.'

I think that the way EE are trying to recreate charectors that have gone is a mistake, they should be trying to create the charectors of tomorrow not going backwards all the time, dennis is gone and will be sadly missed like his father before him by many veiwers, but i for one don't want to watch a cheap immitation of old charectors,i'd rather watch the new creation of the new ee hero's of tomorrow who will then be remembered when they leave and so it goes on

yeah I see what you mean, the difference is the guy that plays Sean actually has charisma and is a decent actor, Nigel Harman wasn't. Sorry.
Well said JA!! :cheer:
I think its a shame that the guy has only been in EE for a week and already everyone is labelling him - he is his own person, his own actor and personally, IMO, far better than Nigel Harman. I think EE are trying to make him the new "Dennis" by being young and good looking (ish) more than anything else, but a lot of it is the way its interpreted by the viewers.
I'd much rather see Sean in our screens than Dennis, but thats my own personal opinion.

I actually think sean could be a great charector if EE don't work to hard at rehashing old storylines making us remember dennis,he could probably be better as long as he gets new refreshing scripts that make him into his own man thats all i was saying, its all down to the writing if the writings a rehash well theres not much the actor can do to make his charector work

there seems to be a really deep dark side to this guy...like he gave me the creeps when he looked at that budgie on thursday.
and then him asking al to hit him with the hammer...the guys a little out there. But diffrent to dennis
dennis was used in all the ways he could be had had to go...however at the minute sean is fresh and has got a whole new batch of storylines hopefully not involving any 'shannis' type realtionship just yet

That's really funny, D1! Him creeping you out because of the way he looked at the budgie!!! Well if the Budgie goes the same way as the youngest Branning rat, then we know he is truly sinister!!! lol
Personally loving him, at the mo!

Personally loving him, at the mo! I was really worried that he was going to tie the poor bird up in a forest and give it to him army style.

I think Sean and Dennis are both the same in some ways,, both brooding and menacing ,, but at the same time they can also have a weak spot for the ones they love,,
Sean also loves his little sister...
Hey girls did u notice Seans smile,, omg did u see those dimples, hes actually a good looking bloke when he smiles,, whooo,,
I think Sean is going to be an intersting character to watch ........just my opinion :D

Arhhhh Dennis God Rest His Soul !!
:crying: :crying: :crying: :crying:
Think Sean is very much like Dennis, lets just hope he does not end up in the graveyard like him too.

I reckon he will end up that way eventually. I know he's longterm, but when they want to write him out, it's bound to be a death!
I think he's probably got a criminal past. He's been 4 years in the army, so that's about 3 years as a teenager on his own, before he left. He's bound to have got into something bad.

i noticed how simular these two were. Its all in their looks, what they were how they act and what their character did.
When Sean was driving that bloke in the back of the car it reminded me of Dennis driving dalton to go out and kill him. The producers are running out of ideas and are having to bring back popular characters through new actors and new characters. They are trying to get the dennis look on Sean and no doubt they got the dennis look from someone on EE way before him.
But with the Watts gone and the mitchells fast minimising all thats left is the fowlers (Who are going also arnt they?) they needto keep the slaters alove at least. Not many long running families left now. No doubt we'll see more slaters and mitchells being brought back
Good to see a slater boy apart from Charlie (And freddie of course) for a change :p
