i thought that casualty usually took a month break but considering it was off air for most of july i thought that would be the break instead. its not fair that they should have another one aswell.

It returns on the 16 September, because IMDB have the 3 episode going out on September 30:

Season 21

Episode #21.3: 30 September 2006
Season 21, Episode 7: What You See Is What You Get: 28 October 2006
Season 21, Episode 8: Born to Be Wild: 4 November 2006

So it is only a 3 week break, but thats still too long!

I wondered when the end of the series would be, i agree though, 3 weeks is too long! They already had a break anyway in July!

That is a long break especially when it was off for ages in July i can not believe it is nearly the end of the series i feel it has went quite quick.

Former Birds of a Feather star Pauline Quirke is to guest star in an episode of Casualty.

The actress, who played Sharon Theodopolopoudos for nine years, also made a guest appearance in ITV cop drama The Bil last year.

A spokeswoman for the show told DS: "We are thrilled that Pauline will be part of an upcoming episode of Casualty.

"Pauline will be playing a homeless person who ends up getting trapped within an internet cafe and suffers horrific injuries."

The dramatic scenes will be shown in mid-October when Casualty enters its 20th anniversary year.
