Paul O'Grady is delaying the return of his chat show after suffering a health scare last month.

The teatime king had originally been expected to hit Channel 4 screens early next month, but he has now requested a few more weeks to recover.

Noel Edmonds' Deal Or No Deal may now move to a later slot for a short period of time as Richard and Judy have already made holiday plans.

"We want to make sure Paul's 100 per cent ready to return and have been warned it's likely to be later in September rather than at the start," a source told The Mirror.

"We wouldn't want him to come back before he is ready because three months of fronting a daily show is pretty tough. Richard and Judy have made holiday plans and no one blames them for wanting to stick to them."

O'Grady was admitted to hospital last month after suffering from a heart attack.

 gutted! he is 100 times better than Richard and Judy.

But to be fair he deserves the recovery time, if it prevents the risk of future heart attacks. I'm sure i can survive a few more weeks without him :rotfl:

GET WELL SOON PAUL!

The olnly good thing in that article is Richard and Judy arent changing there holiday plans. I reckon they should stick a double bill of Friends in the slot, no one should complain then

I can't wait to have him back either but its best to wait until he has completely recovered and at least Richard and Judy will not be continuing until he is back on.

I think he seems such a genuinely lovely chap. I hope he is on the road to a full recovery.... and comes back to our screens soon. :)

Thankfully his prolonged absence doesn't mean extra Dick n Judy!
