I read in Inside Soap a few weeks ago that Brian Wicks is the father of Simon AND David.

I knew about Simon, but I always thought David was Pete's son.

Have Inside Soap made a mistake?

No, David is a Wicks... As far as I know Pat didn't have any kids with Pete.. if she did they would be Beales..

When Pat used to work for Ian in the cafe, Ian told her not to take advantage of him just because they were almost family. I presume he would class Pat as a Beale if she was the mother of any of his relations or was still married to Pete, which would mean that it is not a mistake.
