My mate wanted me and her to go and get our legs waxed. I was just wondering if it is all the pain people say it is and is it worth it or not? If you could arte out of 10 the pain that would be good so i can get a rough estimate :D thanks
It depends on your own pain threshold - I do my own waxing, except for my eyebrows, and myself don't find it painful at all. I would compare it to ripping off a plaster I suppose :searchme:
The pain does lessen each time you get it done though, I will say that, which is probably why it doesn't hurt me anymore.
Have fun :D

Never Tried it......yet. Although i will soon. Loads of people say it hurts.
Best thing to do, is think about how much its really going to hurt and then when you have it done, it doesn't hurt at all :D
Seriously though, for me, it wasn't half as bad as I expected

It's really not that bad. I can assure you I am the biggest coward going and even I get my bikini line done!! It is all over in 2 mins and lasts longer than creams or shaving. Good Luck!!
Yesssss - another fellow waxer - was starting to think i was on my own for a min there :cheer:

Would you reccomend any good waxing products? Easy to use at home?
I got the Nair easy to use wax roll on (tis a big red roll on thing) and i thought it really hurt, i ended up doing one strip then shaving my legs
I reckon though if i went to get them done it would be okay, i think it was just me ripping them off.
I got my eyebrows done though and that never hurt.
Sometimes its easier to go to a salon and get it done for the first few times, as you build up a big thing mentally yourself when you DIY and then you are expecting pain etc, whereas if you get it done at a salon, you aren't expecting it when they pull the strips off, so in someways it doesn't hurt quite so much then.
I use Nair Easy Wax (microwaving tub - no strips required) and some of the single use strips as well as going to a salon for it too

i did that! i got the veet wax strips, thought they would be good and that i would be a wax convert! NO CHANCE! one strip i screamed and got the razor back out! never again will i wax my legs
i have my eyebrows waxed every 6 weeks, it dosent hurt that much although i do find that during that time of the month it always hurts more

I would seriously recommend getting them done in a salon initially though, the first few times - it does hurt the first couple of times, and if you get it done at a salon, then because you aren't expecting it, then it makes you jump more than anything and then once you are used to that, then you can do it yourself :D
I'ev been converted :D
The first one hurts, but that was just because i hadn't done it in ages. And to be frank, the only reason i carried on, was because i refused to waste the £8 i spent on the box of strips!! :rotfl:
But yeah... its not that bad people. After the first one, its a piece of cake. And i'm not just saying that, because believe me, i'm the worlds biggest wimp when it comes to pain!!
I used those Veet Wax Strips the same as Debs said about, by the way...
I would never wax, as I have a really low pain threshold!!! I was gonna try but instead I got veet cream... and i'm not too bothered about it, but in hot weather my hair on my legs is black... which is bad! I normally razor, but doing that all the time was a bit bad

:D
:rotfl: but at least i can say im no longer a wax virgin :D
