dvd rom drive

im slgihtly clueless to whats wrong with my disk drive i brought a dvd+r/ rw writer usb drive the dvds work but the games just wont load up the screen that asks if i want to install game but it has worked on 1 game hitman blood money but after the begining movie it just cuts off and gos back to my desk top and im clueless whats up any ideas?

some games do not work on a dvd rom, as they are cd based. id find out if you new drive is a multi one that runs both cds and dvds

the games on front say dvd compatible only thats why i bought a new one lol and it does run cd-roms aswell wooo

cant help you then! Maybe there is something wrong with it, might be worth taking back to the shop and having a chat to them

I think it's something to do with this thing on your computer that is turned on, when it doesn't work with some disks, or vice versa. I don't know much about it but I heard one of the employees of the local game store telling this girl how to do it so if you went to a game shop they would probably show you how to do it.
