I've just seen a featurette on it on entertainment today. I never relaised that it was coming out on the 21st July!

The books are superb and Stormbreaker, the first in the series has got a great cast including Ewan McGregor, Jimmy Carr, Stepah Fry, Bill Nighy and Sophie Okanado (sp?).

They are predicting it will be as big as the harry Potter films, only better as it contains action!

I can't wait to see them!

I think it will be good, not on the high scale of Harry Potter in terms of profit, but if Stormbreaker is better than the over-rated rubbish that is Harry Potter I shall be happy.

i love the alex rider books plus alex pettyfer is starring in it as the main character -alex rider , was going to go to the premeir but i cant get to london :( been waiting for it to come out for about 5 months now! although the actor alex pettyfer wont be playing alex rider if they do the next book point blanc because the actor is only 16 but looks at least 18 and alex rider is 14

Lol it looks good but the only reason i would watch it is for the eye candy  the person in it is to die for!! and he is around my age  . Is it a bit like agent cody banks though? becuase it kind of looks like that

agent cody banks was awful as it was american, had that idiot from Malcom In The Middle in it, and it was more of a comedy.

This is an action packed, British made movie, with great British actors and a superb plot. I'd recommend it for anyone to watch!

I might go watch it then if it sounds that good :D Apperantly there is a really annoying girl in it who continuously says "where's alex" lol my mate said that kind of ruined the movie with her high pitched squeaky voice

"where's alex"
jack starbright, yeh she was a bit winey at times, this film is more meant to be along the lines of a james bond film rather than cody banks

I saw it at the cinema a few weeks back. I was well scared. Theres no way its a PG me and mate were like a couple of 7 year olds not 17 year olds. I t was a good film though and the cast was amazing. Stephen Fry made me laugh.

i have not seen this film but my friends and thier kids did and they said if you have read the book the film has been changed loads and doesnt compare to the book at all. would any of you agree with this?

i wouldnt know ive never read the book. In fact i didnt even think it was a book until i came on here. But i suppose all films that are adaptations have to be changed someway.

My eldest has read the book and the seen the film with me - said there were a few changes, but read the book in a day. Said there was few changes but that generally happens anyway. Anthony Horowitz wrote the screenplay as well as the book, so I would have thought it would tie in pretty well. I'll pinch the book off my son and read it, and let you know what I think :D lol

ive read all of the books and id say if you've read the book the film is a little dissapointing because they miss a lot out of it, and add extra things into the film which shouldnt be there yet liek sabina but if you havnt read the books the film is fantastic!! the film is still great even if you have read the books though
