POP babe Rachel Stevens is in the running to play the love interest in the next Pink Panther movie.
Despite the box office flop of the recent remake starring Steve Martin, makers MGM/Sony have given the go-ahead for a further two.
The next film will have Martin’s Inspector Clouseau teaming up with Scotland Yard to work a case.
And former S Club 7 honey Rachel is in talks as the possible female lead, according to darkhorizons.com.
Dodgeball writer and director Rawson Marshall Thurber and Mike Saltzman wrote the script, which Martin is now polishing up. It’s likely that Thurber will also be directing the next film.
Returning stars Kevin Kline, Jean Reno and Emily Mortimer have been roped in to do the next two films too.
