Has Dirty Den come back from the dead - again?
Peggy Mitchell’s hair is set to turn an even more startling shade of platinum when she discovers the ghost of Dirty Den Watts haunting the Vic. The furious EastEnders landlady shouts: “Get out of my pub, Den. The only spirits I want to serve around here are whisky, gin and brandy.”
The spine-chilling clip will be seen in a forthcoming episode of Doctor Who. Viewers will see Peggy calling time on the Timelord when the Doctor and his sidekick Rose arrive back on Earth to discover the place overrun by ghosts.
The Doctor is horrified to see apparitions popping up everywhere – even on the TV. But as the series draws to a gripping two-part climax on July 1 and 8, it emerges that the ghosts are all part of a devious plot by the Cybermen to take over the Earth with the help of the Daleks. Go on Peggy - set Phil and Grant on 'em!

Oooo.. Sounds interesting. I thought the title meant Den back in EE! Now that would be ridiculous.
Oooo.. Sounds interesting. I thought the title meant Den back in EE! Now that would be ridiculous. Yes completly DAFT. Imagine bringing someone back from the dead after he was brutally murdered on the fragrant banks of the Walford Canal by a daffodil weilding gunman:rolleyes:
From Doctor Who Online: Shows what "Den" will look like, from a newspaper yesterday.

Looks like they haven't got him back to play Den, just doing a CGI version...

looks like a good plot line - very simular to the big brother/trinny and susanna/weakest link of last series though.
There was a rumour of Den returning again when the spoiler of his second demise was released. In the context that they were implying at the time, it was simply outrageous, but this sounds good:)

agree it does sound good,a bit of ee in dr who
Is there no depths the producers of EE will plumb to feature Den Watts. Its almost as bad as their obsession with the Mitchell bruvvas. Still I suppose a ghost story is more realistic than the last time they brought him back:rolleyes:

they really lack imagination in elstree ok its only a doctor who episode and a bit of a joke
but its true what you say they're obbsessed with nostalgia if leslie grantham asked nice enough i wonder how quick they would rehire him

I think, if you think about it in the context of Doctor Who, then it will be ok. The producers of Doctor Who all probably know the on-going joke on internet forums, about how stupid it would be bringing him back, and they're twisting it around. In the context of an episode which is completly based around ghosts coming back to life, i think it will work. Just a bit of an "in joke" about bringing Den back from the dead again, after doing it last time.
Also, think on the positive side. If he's coming back as a ghost, then that means theres no denying that he's dead. Meaning bringing him back again, would be near-on impossible. Last time you didn't see a body or anything. This time, seeing a ghost, means that its pretty obvious that the bloke is finally dead (And not before time, either)

Ok I am getting confused.. it this an EE storyline or a Doctor who? if doctor who then ok, funny joke but for EE it will be a disaster... (if it is DW, will move this thread)

Its definately a Doctor Who thing. The final 2-parter of this series features some bits with Eastenders is in (Specifically Peggy). Nothing to do with an Eastenders story at all. It wont even be mentioned in EE, i'd imagine.

Tracey ann oberman plays someone who summons these ghosts including den which is ironic because she killed him in EE and got imprisoned now a chrissie lookalike has brought him back.....bit of a reunion between den and chrssie only more sinister lmao and dens 'ghost' is on tonights episode according to the eastenders website
