Legendary star Sir Norman Wisdom is set to film a cameo appearance in EastEnders. Retired Norman, 91, was persuaded to briefly join the cast by Perry Fenwick (Billy Mitchell) and Laila Morse (Mo Harris), whom he recently met at a charity event.
Now producers are trying to come up with a suitable storyline. Norman's manager, Johnny Mans, confirmed: "It's just a matter of seeing what can be done story-wise."
Meanwhile, Perry has already identified his ideal role for the entertainer.
"I'd love him to play my dad in the show," smiles the actor.
It won't be the first time Norman has popped up in soapland - 2 years ago he played Corrie's Ernie Crabbe, who arrived to buy Jack Duckworth's excercise bike.
