The 90s

My mate sent me this thing lastnight a list of things that would show your a British 90s kid (see below) we spent ages discussing it remembering stuff from the 90s we workedout we was so sad, either that or totally cool, well me and a few shoutbox-ers have been doing the same and we thought it would be nice to have a topic on it.

Here is the list hope it brings back happy memories and feel free to add to it if you think of anything else cool/sad from the 90s

You know you're a British 90s kid if...

- You can sing the rap to "the fresh prince of bell air"

- You've worn leggings and felt cool.

- You used to love playing with your "puppy in my pockets"

- You remember when it was actually worth getting up on a Saturday
morning to watch live & kicking or sm:tv.

- You had a huge fringe at some point in your childhood.

- You remember reading and watching "goosebumps"

- You took plastic cartoon lunch boxes to school.

- You know the words from the shakey jake milkshake adverts

- You remember the craze of yo-yos and tamagotchi's

- You still get the urge to say "not" after every sentence....not.

- You knew that Kimberly, the pink ranger, and tommy, the green ranger were
meant to be.

- You collected pokemon cards.

- You played and/or collected pogs.

- You had a weird alien that lived in gooey stuff in a plastic 'pod'

- And thought if you stuck 2 back to back they would have a baby!

- You watched the original postman pat, fireman sam and ninja turtles.

- Yikes pencils were the best!-what happened to them?

- You remember when the new beanie babies were always sold out

- You got your mum to buy 'BN' biscuits

- You used to wear those stick on earrings, not only on your ears but at the
corners of your eyes

- You know the macerena by heart.

- "talk to the hand" enough said.

- You remember the time before literacy and numeracy hour existed.

- You thought brain from "pinkey and the brain" would finally take over the
world

- You remember bum bags.

- You always wanted to be on fun house!

- You collected tazos.

- 2 words, spice girls.

Yeah I did, scuffed them out eventually. Anyone remember those little pringle containers? Remember them well as my mate brought one in to school fully packaged one day thinking that the pringles were already in there:lol:

i remember the majority of those. Although I never collected pogs (but knew others that did) and didnt collect Pokermon cards but I was a bit old for them when they came out.

Stick on earings though - loved them!!:)

And yes I also tried to make those wierd aliens have a baby (was so disappointed that they didnt!:crying:

Blimey popular topic this aint it, i really enjoyed talking like this with my friend the other night about the 90s we were either sad orunbelieveably (sp) cool what do we think i say we were all so cool.

I did most of them things in that list lol pogs, tamagotchis, tazos, Spice girls fan (i had a party when i was in year 4 or 5 and all we played were Spice Girls songs), had a yo-yo, still know the macarena, still remember the words to that Shakey Jake advert, I used to have them plastic lunchboxes aswell and in them would be BNs, used to love live and kicking and SM:TV, I only watched goosebumps once it scared me, I used to do the Not thing and the talk to the hand, I collected pokemon cards (Pikachu was my fav but my broter wouldnt let me have him :( lol) had one of those aliens (actually 3 as my brother broke my first one then got the next one he got it stuck to the ceeling(sp) :rolleyes: i had a bum bag i wont tell you the game i played with my brother with those things :lol: fun house was fab never wanted to be on it though

lol, I used to collect pogs. I had this bright orange plastic container for them and I used to play the during break time. :D :D :D :D

Loved watching Live and Kicking as well and I used to have a yo-yo and a tamagotchi. I had a bum bag as well which I kept my marbles in. :o
