I have created a thread to only talk about Shannis. This is for the people who hate Shannis to get rid of thier thoughts and discuss why we hate them. This is not for people who like Shannis and expecially not love them!! :angry: :nono: So if you're about to be upset hide!! :ninja: Sorry if you're a lover of Shannis but I created this thread as I am not a lover of Shannis but a really strong hater. I don't see the 'connection' between them...

Let me start (if anyone don't get there before me :p) I 100% hate Shannis. I think they really don't suit. When I just see one of them lookin at eachother it just makes me bash the TV. Its like an cat and mice being friends (not possible I think) it just don't go!! I hate Shannis!! I don't want them to come back *starts crying*.

1) i hate nigel harman - he has a rubbish characters, he's a rubbish actor and hes dog ugly (my opinions of course)
2) sharon used to be so strong... dating the mitchells and having the strength to cheat on them, but then she lowers herself to some little wannabe mitchell like dennis, it lowers her character and goes against what we love about sharon, dennis should die cus we know no matter what thye will keep getting together and splitting up over and over again, making sharon loose all her flare

Hi there, I'm a shannis fan (as you can tell) and I've been reading this thread with great interest and this isn't a personal dig at anyone but I feel it would be more beneficial for members their air views concerning the storyline on the sticky shannis thread. It may be perceived as a 'shannis lovers' thread but we have indeed had some comments which, like you do not support them as a couple and this has certainly been very interesting for me to read and comment on. Moreover, it creates a better balance for an argument instead of people agreeing all the time.

The thread isn't only for shannis lovers, but for all people who have an opinion on the storyline/relationship whether that be a positive or negative one so everyone’s opinions are welcome there. Although the thread is largely dominated by shannis fans at present, it would be nice to see some diverse views from viewers like your selves and then we can get a debate going. :) To tell you the truth I quite like conflicting opinions and debate (just as long as it's constructive). It spices things up. I’m a bit opinionated like that. Normally I would have replied to this thread right away but it's for shannis haters but I only did now just to suggest the idea to you lot. It's up to you though. The ball is in your court. :)

I totally agree with you!!! I hate this storyline.It's been going on forever. And even though they haven't been in the show for ages, they are still talked about non stop. I totally love Dennis in the show, but I hate the way he gets on when he's with Sharon. And I HATE Sharon. Lets hope if she is coming back she has cut that hair!!!! I disagree. Debates can get heated but still stay balanced and constructive.

I'm on there a lot and no one has been rude or nasty. We have had conflicting opinions before but it's been very polite. We do welcome all views there just long as its constructive criticism and not personal insults then its ok. Please don't be put of. If people do get nasty (I doubt they will) then just hit the report button. I hate personal digs as much as the next person- I thinks it's pathetic.

It's up to you lot of course -no one will make you but I don't want anyone to feel that their opinions won't be welcome and bashed if something negative is said. :)

Bashing happens a lot in debate, not only for shannis but for any storyline where there are strong views and aspects which people feel very passionately about but that’s a risk. I do think that overall this forum is very polite and certainly more respectful to peoples opinions compared to other soap forums I'v observed. I suppose it works both ways really. An ant-shannis fan can be just as offensive as a shannis one. I've been told to p*** off and shut up once because I said something positive about them- not here though, it was the old BBC forum. :angry:

However if people feel happier here posting their opinion here and don't want a debate then that's fine too. It was merely a suggestion but I'll leave it up to them to decide. :)

Too right. I won't deny that I enjoyed it there. I had some really lengthy and interesting conversations there with a variety of people but it had to be one of the poorly run boards ever. It was awful. I'm not surprised that it closed down in the end considering all the text speak, repeated threads and 'Dennis is fit' posts.

But I'm glad someone started a shannis hater thread. Thanks! The storyline has goen on too long-it was shockin originally-wat wiv vicki's reaction n then den's when he returned. But when he started cheating on Zoe wiv Sharon again it got boring. How many times can they contemplate their feelings-this is wrong but it feels so right-makes me sick. I preferred Sharon wen Tom was the love of her life, I know he died, but she hardly mentions him anymore, she doesn't visit his mum like she used to-he's more or less been forgotten.

I can't stand Shannis either, it's not the 'situation' in particular, it's everything about them. I used to think that Nigel was quite good looking, but he's got on my nerves so much that I can't stand him. Dennis & Sharon are so awful! Sharon should find someone more like Phil or Tom, they were much better characters!

You know what is so funny about this? You say they are "fictional not real", which yes, they are fictional characters, but if it is not real how can it "appeal to people who are in similar positions?" Fictional people cannot participate in real events. Nor can real events happen to fictional people.

Back to the part about the fiction...that's right it is fiction, but is it alright if some people don't enjoy this specific part of it? Perhaps our preference for this "fiction" is a bit different than yours. If you can "like" watching fictional people, why can't you "hate" watching other fictional people? All a matter of personal preference I would say. Sad as that may be.

Personally what turned me into a shannis hater was the toxic overdose and repitition of the entire things. Bad memories plague me forever!

i agree its bang out of order, as u may know my mate posted a stupid message about sharon's "pigginess" on my account, i've been mad with him ever since.

it's petty to name call, regardless of your dislike for someone it, it isnt nice and it isnt clever... phycsil insults are not on IMHO, u can say about charcter's personialties, voice etc but for me i think insulting or making fun of the way someone looks is bang out of order

There is a great difference between slagging off a character and slagging off a person. I think you are being over sensitive about the Miss Piggy thing. Its not being used to assocaite her with a pig but rather the Character of Sharon is being Likened to the character of Miss Piggy in The Muppet Show.
