Darren Day will become a father for the second time with his girlfriend Stephanie Dooley.

The star announced the oncoming pregnancy during an interview with Hello!, telling them that he and his girlfriend, Emmerdale actress Stephanie Dooley, were "both delighted" at the news.

Darren previously had a son with his ex Suzanne Shaw, though the couple split mere weeks after the baby was born. After a string of high profile failed relationships, Darren has now claimed that he is a changed man.

He said: "I made mistakes. I screwed up in the past but now I want to be the best father I can.

"I was on drugs for years and drugs makes you a different person. Suzanne doesn’t know me. She knows a person who doesn’t exist anymore. And he wasn’t a nice guy.”

Stephanie, who is due to give birth in October, already has a seven year old son, Jordan.

Darren Day make my blood boil. My son was born on the smae day as his, and when I look at how he treated Suzanne Shaw, it makes me mad. I'm no fan of hers particularly, but nobody deserves being walked out on and being told "I don't do family" I feel sorry for his children. They have no say in being born to such a waste of space. I just hope he doesn't mess their little heads up.:angry:

Urgh. The thought of the man leaves a nasty taste in my mouth. He reckons he's changed (again) does he? Well it was only a couple of months ago he was on drugs and sleeping in a car.
