I will try my best to make sense..
I was on my laptop the other night and it was going a bit slow so i thought maybe to help speed it up etc id get rid of some files (you know where it says all the pages and links etc you have been on over a period of time) (whether it helps speed things up or not i dont know but i thought id give it a go) so anyway i went to files select all then delete.everything was ok for about a hour or so and i was browsing the web then all of a sudden 'this page can not be displayed'
since then i havent been able to get online on the laptop,do you think what i did would have caused this or could it be something else>? its says the signal is excellent on it and that i am connected etc but just keeps saying 'this page ca not be displayed. What can i try to get it on,anyone know,if so please state in lamons (sp?) terms as im a bit dim when it comes to pc stuff
thanks in advance xx

I get this prob with mine sometimes. Are you getting internet access. If you are its possible you may have just deleted some cookies that the page needs to function. If you are not getting internet access the First thing to try is to reset the router by unplugging and replugging it. Then if this doesnt work reboot the laptop. If this still doesnt work check along botto of screen you should see four or five graph bars which indicate if your lapto is getting a signal from the router. If these are not green double click on them and this will open a dialog box where you should see a tick box which says allow windows to manage this connection. Tick this and it should sort things out for you.

Have you tried completely disconnecting the router and connecting it again using the software?

I would have thought that re-installing all the software from the disc that was supplied with the router would have done that.

Hi Chance,
First thing i would do is to re-boot (turn off and back on), and as soon as u see a screen hit f8 (possibly several times) untill you get a black screen come up.
One of the options is to re-start on the last known good configuration, which might help, as this often solves several problems.

If not, maybe try doing a System Restore, go to start (bottom left) then all programmes, then accessories, system tools then System Restore.
With this you can go back to a time when your whole pc was running well, although you may lose some stuff that you have put on there since, it is brilliant if your not too clued up on pc's.
Alternatively, if you have anyone in your family who knows something about pc's, maybe you could ask them for some help, am sure they wouldn't mind ;)

Good luck
