ACTOR Andrew Lancel - who plays tough cop DI Neil Mansen in The Bill - was rushed to hospital with severe food poisoning.
Filming of the ITV1 cop series was rescheduled to cover for absent Andrew, 35, as he recovered.
A Sun Hill source said: "Andrew was really poorly. His family were so concerned he was taken to hospital."
"The doctors said he had an unusually severe reaction to whatever he'd eaten."
"He'll be recovering for a few days but should be back soon."
