Thought we could post here any spoilers we hear for next season, though there wont bemuch out for a whlie, as they have a couple of months before filiming starts. Heres what Ive found anyway:

General Season 3 spoilers:

05/26 - I just received some exclusive intel on the new characters joining Lost. In addition to the two female roles, the show is also adding a new hunk. Descriptions are: Female, 30s, with leadership qualities. Female, early 20s, very attractive. Male, Latino, early 20s, handsome, mysterious quality. My guess? These are some of the "background" survivors that Carlton Cuse told me would emerge next season. Source: The Ausiello Report
05/26 - Next season will be about the Others, as led by the oblique Henry Gale (played by Michael Emerson, who will join the regular cast). Mr. Cuse listed what viewers will learn about the Others by this time next year: "Who are these people? How many of them are there? What is their history? What are they trying to accomplish?" Source: New York Times
05/25 - Producers of ABC's hit series Lost [...] told SCI FI Wire that it sets up the upcoming third season, which will focus more on romance—and on the mysterious Others. "The Others are an important part of season three, and there's a lot of mysteries and a lot of questions about the Others that the audience is going to be curious about going into season three," said executive producer Carlton Cuse in an interview. "And those are the things we're going to explore." Cuse added: "There will definitely be some new characters on the show next year. ... Obviously, Michael Emerson, who plays Henry Gale, he's someone who's going to be very prominent in the show next year." Fans were also introduced to a new character who promises to figure in next season's storylines: Penelope Widmore, played by Sonya Walger. [...] "I'm excited about love in season three," said executive producer Bryan Burk, adding: "Don't forget now the people have been on the island for 60-plus days. They're now obviously more familiar with each other. ... The concept of love is there, and... it weaves its way through all of our characters. It's going to be much more prevalent in season three." Source: Sci Fi Wire
05/24 - Carlton Cuse reveals: I will say that the next season is a lot about the Others. There's a lot of mysteries about the Others that we'll be getting into next year. [We will see more of Alex next season.] Source: E! Online
05/24 - According to the Hollywood Reporter, ABC's Lost is on the hunt for two new actresses to join the cast for Season 3, now that the show's distaff ranks have been quickly depleted by the twin killings of Michelle Rodriguez's Ana Lucia and Cynthia Watros' Libby. Source: TV Guide Online
05/24 - [Chances to see Ana-Lucia in flashbacks are] slim to none, according to Carlton [Cuse]. "Never say never, but we feel like we told her story," he reveals. "Her arc had a beginning, middle and an end." "You will [eventually] find out what happened to Cindy," [says Cuse.] Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide
05/22 - Harold Perrineau is not a regular for next season. He could be back as a guest star (* la Walt this season) but not as a regular cast member. Source: Kristin on E!Online
05/17 - Michael Emerson (Henry Gale) [...] is returning next season as a series regular. Source: The Ausiello Report
05/16 - [In Season 3,] there will be new locations and new characters (one rumor has Desmond joining the cast full-time, but producers won't comment). The season's big theme sounds timely, twisty, and terrifying. Hints Lindelof: "'Us versus Them.' But who's the 'us,' and who's the 'them'?" Source: Entertainment Weekly
05/14 - Damon Lindelof [reveals]: Libby's got this mysterious backstory, of which we've only given you the tip of the iceberg. We know she's spent some time in the mental institution with Hurley, and the idea of killing her before she had an opportunity to explain how she got there... we have a master plan for how we're going to tell that story, but it's all posthumous. You'll start to learn Libby's moves through flashbacks over the course of the next season. So we're not done with Cynthia, but Libby is dead. Source: The Ausiello Report
05/03 - Lindelof & Cuse: The growth of Malcolm David Kelly (Walt) will be addressed in the 3rd season. You can expect to see more of Rousseau next year, but the story of the wrecked research vessel, it will be coming at some point but we can't guarantee it'll be in Season 3. We'll be introducing new characters in Season 3, so you'll be getting fresh flashbacks. You'll probably see fewer flashbacks of our original characters as we begin to move toward certain inevitabilities. You will learn more about some of the other survivors next year. Also, where the new characters come from in Season 3 is going be part of the fun and anticipation over the summer, and hopefully by the end of the finale you'll be getting some sense of who those characters might be. We are going to produce the next 22 hours of Lost in Season 3. Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide
04/25 - I've heard that a few actors will no longer be contracted as series regulars [next season] -- but that doesn't mean we won't see them again. Source: Kristin on E!Online
11/28 - Writer/Supervising producer Javier Grillo-Marxuach reveals (note that this is a summary of the spoilerish things he revealed): You have not seen the last of Dharma, but it's going to be a little while before you find out a little bit more. The Dharma Initiative was a communal research facility on the island. A lot of scientists and free-thinkers got together to do a lot of different kinds of research: psychiatry, zoology - and remember that with the zoology of the film you saw some polar bears. It's possible there were some animal aggression studies going on there, as well as human psychology experiments and a whole variety of other things. The Dharma Initiative was founded by two peacenik Grad students who were trying to get to the bottom of a lot of mysteries about human behavior. There are six bunkers on the island, and they were devoted to a lot of different kinds of research. That's going to open up a lot of different avenues for us to tease you with what the kind of research was, and how it's evolved now that the Dharma Initiative seems to have fallen into disrepair. A lot has happened on the island and the Dharma Initiative is just the tip of the iceberg... Source: The Official Lost Magazine, Issue 2, Jan/Feb 2006
09/19/2005 - From Damon Lindelof: There is going to be a flashback story that fully explains the significance of all [Jack's] tattoos and puts it into the framework of what was happening in his life when he got them.

05/29 - Summary of spoilers given by Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse: Next season, we will understand the real ramifications of Desmond activating the failsafe and what that did. The central issue of season three will be what did happen. It sounds like Desmond's coming back. They said they want him back, we want to know why he was in prison, we want to know what happened when he turned that key that affected the entire island. That will become very important. The island was visible but only for an instant. It was also visible for an instant on 9/22/04 when the plane crashed. The foot statue represents the history and archeology of the island. Season three will explore what happened on the island before Dharma arrived in the late 70's and who was there. The smoke monster will definitely be back in Season three. There is a good chance we saw the monster this year and didn't realize we were looking at it. By the end of next year we will realize what it was and when we saw it. Why did the Others take Jack, Kate and Sawyer? Where is their home? That will be the story told over the first six episodes. Season 3 will also be about the main characters and their relationships. They want to service the relationships next year more than the mythology. How Locke got in the wheelchair, how Jack got his tattoos will be revealed in Season three. Source: Lost Podcast

More spoilers from lost (from aintitcool site)

Lost was intended to be a 4-5 season arch ending with a feature length movie. Damon Lindelof said that they are still planning on sticking to that plan but it's hard because the show is a hit now. But they don't want the show to end up like the X-files. They don't want to finish that main story line in season five and then have to "tap dance" for two seasons because the network doesn't want the show to end. He mentioned that when that time comes they may have to consider walking from the show.
Time may not be passing on the island at the same rate as off the island. The question was asked about the amount of time that has passed on the island in the first two seasons at which point Damon interrupted and said that's assuming that time is passing on the island at the same rate that it is in the outside world. That produced audible gasps from the audience and the two actors on stage had shocked looks on their faces. Damon continued to talk about the concept of the passage of time at which point Carlton Cuse interrupted him asking if he wanted to reveal that much so Damon just left it at that.
Hansoexpose.com. At one point a "protester" crashed the presentation and confronted the producers asking if they had no shame. She said her name was Rachel Blake and that the Hanso foundation was real and that the producers were using them for entertainment purposes even though they had done terrible things in Africa and Iceland. She said to go to hansoexpose.com if we wanted the real truth just before security escorted her away.
There are no clones on Lost. Damon Lindelof gave his personal promise and guarantee that there are no clones in the show. Nothing personal against clones, they're people just like us (literally) but there are no clones on Lost.
There are no nanobots on Lost. If you were there and were wondering who the lone guy was clapping at that revelation, it was me. That's right, straight from the horses mouth NO NANOBOTS.
There will be an extra on the DVD of every nick name sawyer has used cut together into one clip which I personally can't wait to see!
Vincent flashback? When asked why Vincent the dog didn't leave the island with Walt and Michael, Damon said if he had they wouldn't be able to do the Vincent flashback episode!
Libby will be back in flashbacks! Damon and Cuse said Libby's back story was significant and still needed to be told since she didn't have a flashback episode. So she will be back in flashbacks much like Jack's dad has been through out the show even though he's dead.
The literal translation of the hieroglyphics according to Damon Lindelof is "Underworld"
The statue shown in season finale wasn't just put there because it looks cool. The history of the island will become important and it is older than we were originally led to believe.
The six episode mini-series that opens the season will reveal more about the others. The first episode will be titled "A Tale of two Cities" and be penned partly by J.J. Abrams. Abrams will also direct episode 7, the first one back from the break. The new scheduling format is a direct result of fans complaining about all the repeats this last season.
There will be a major revelation midway through the season that Lindelof said will either blow you away or make you say the show has jumped the shark.

Just got this of DS:

Two new actors will join the cast of the hit television show Lost for its third season.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, actress Elizabeth Mitchell will play a character called Juliet, who could turn out to be a new love interest for Jack.

The other new addition is Love Actually star Rodrigo Santoro, who has earned the nickname 'the Brazilian Tom Cruise'.

Explaining the choice to TV Guide, the show's executive producer Damon Lindelof said: "He's a guy who's perfect for Lost because he's a face that the American audience is not familiar with."

Meaning of 'Lost' numbers to be revealed

The meaning behind the omni-present six numbers on Lost is to be finally revealed.

The relevance of the set 4, 8, 16, 16, 23, 42 will be divulged to players of 'The Lost Experience', an interactive challenge running in the UK, US and Australia.

“The reward we’ve always promised from the Lost Experience is information, which is currency to anyone who is a fan of the show or a participant in this game,” said Mike Benson, svp of marketing ABC Entertainment. “This additional form of storytelling allows us to engage current and new fans in a genuinely innovative way while delivering the same extraordinary content that ‘Lost’ provides as a television series.”

The Lost Experience - currently in its third of five "phases" - has previously unveiled information regarding the Black Rock and the significance of the title "Dharma Initiative". Future secrets will concern the mysterious Alvar Hanso and the Hanso Foundation.

Feast on Long-Awaited Answers on Lost--Straight from the Island!

by Kristin Veitch | Aug. 25, 2006

Watch with Kristin: Video Clip
Evangeline Lilly, Daniel Dae Kim
Lost stars answer your Q's in the new Vine show!
Who will Kate choose? What's with the newbies? Who's the daddy of Sun's baby? And seriously, what's with those freaky-ass Others?!

Some people might head to the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii, for a little rest and relaxation, but last week, your favorite tube-obsessed TV Diva was there for one reason only: to try and get some freaking answers to this endless list of questions about Lost!

The second season DVD is coming out in just a few short days--Sept. 5–-and the cast gathered on the beach in Kahuku, Hawaii, to celebrate. So, I did what any right-minded Lost-aholic would do: Pounced.

a d v e r t i s e m e n t

And so, in our spanking-new exclusive Vine show at the top of this page--shot on special location in Hawaii!--you finally get to see what the castmembers have to say about some of Lost's lingering mysteries, including the big Kate-Jack-Sawyer love triangle, Jorge Garcia's "clone theory" and, hope you're sitting down for this, a possible third option as the father of Sun's baby's daddy-–gahhh!!! (And no, it's not Michael.)

Still, there are many, many more questions we Lost die-hards are dying to know. So, let's tackle 'em one by one, and I'll share with you what the cast and producers were kind enough to spill.

Watch with Kristin: Video Clip
Josh Holloway
Step aside, "Freckles," and make way for "Pinky"!
Question: Who Will Kate Choose?
Answer: It Sure Doesn't Sound Like Sawyer.
Thanks to Lost boss Damon Lindelof, we know Kate is "making a choice" between Jack and Sawyer in the first six episodes. (Can. Not. Wait.) And, well, after talking to Sawyer himself, Josh Holloway--and a few insidery moles--something tells me it might not be Sawyer. Which could explain why Josh was a bit on the defensive (albeit jokingly) when asked about Kate's big decision--which you can see in the clip at left, along with Josh's new nickname for me!

"I say Sawyer stands alone!" Josh told me with his signature sly smile. "I love Sawyer as a free agent. I don't want him all tied up, you know? Sappy. He can't be soft and sappy. I mean, come on. His stock would just [plummet], just drop!"

Regardless, executive producer Carlton Cuse promised there will be lovey-dovey satisfaction very soon. "This season will have a lot more romance," he said. "We have been talking about romance, but finally we're at a place in the show where we've done 49 episodes of the show; the castaways have been there for 65 days. It's time for some romance, and we're going to deliver." Can I get an Amen?

William MapotherQuestion: Will Desmond or Ethan be back?
Answer: Yes! And Yes!
Henry Ian Cusick (Desmond) confirmed he is now officially a series regular, and a little birdie told me William Mapother was in Hawaii last week--and he exactly wasn't sipping mai tais by the pool, but rather, he was working his wonderfully creepy Ethan magic. Love it.

Question: Did the Hatch really explode?
Answer: Yes!
Simply put in the words of executive producer Bryan Burke: "The Hatch is gone. Done. We have new sets that have been built on our soundstage, so it's a whole new world for you."
Sure enough, inside Lost's studio in downtown Honolulu, the set of our beloved Hatch has been completely obliterated and removed. That is precisely why the artist of the Hatch murals, executive producer Jack Bender, is able to have an exhibit this weekend in Los Angeles that includes some of those paintings from that very set. (If you're interested in attending, check the message boards for details.)

Question: Where Are the Others?
Answer: Somewhere You'd Never Expect.
Lost's new set for season three--the camp of the Others--is so supersecret, the producers have already sent out a request to us reporter types to "please not reveal anything even hinting at what the camp of the Others looks like."

So, I'll tell you what it doesn't look like: It sure doesn't look anything like that spot where Michael picked up Walt last season. Not one bit. It is also

a d v e r t i s e m e n t
not a treehouse. Or a YMCA. It's bigger than a hatch. But smaller than the island. And we'll be seeing this camp a lot this season, because...

Question: What's Season Three About?
Answer: The Others, the Others and, Oh Yeah, the Others.
"I've been saying since the first season that I was most excited about seasons two and three," producer Burke said, "and we're gettin' there. There are a lot of things going on on the island, as you well know, and this year, it's all about the other side and the Others and what the hell they're up to."

That means, of course, that the insanely intriguing Mr. Michael Emerson, the Other formerly known as Henry Gale, is indeed back for season three. "This is my understanding, unless someone has fibbed to me," he said wryly. "Yeah, I'm here for the season."

Watch with Kristin: Video Clip
Evangeline Lilly
Brazilian names and what to expect this season
And as Evangeline Lilly hints in the Vine show on the previous page, it looks as if Kate is spending some quality time in close quarters with good ol' Henry. Eeek.

Question: Are the Others Good or Evil?
Answer: Depends on Who You Ask.
In the video clip at the top of this page, Michael/Henry gives his personal assessment of his Other brethren. "I think they've been misunderstood," he told me. "I think they are. Seriously, we've learned to fear them a little bit, because we don't understand their agenda, because they are mysterious, but I think when we get to know them a little better, we'll see they are on the side of the righteous."

Watch with Kristin: Video Clip
Carlton Cuse
Will the characters clue in to their connections?
"Miss Evie" also gives her take in the clip above, in which we also discuss all the Brazilian connections that keep popping up on Lost. Muito interesante!

Question: Is Claire Jack's Half-Sister?!
Answer: Could Be!
I popped this doozy of a theory (that's been running around the Internet) on Cuse during the party, and you can see his (I think) somewhat telling reaction in the video clip at right. He also discusses the Jack-Kate-Sawyer love triangle and what to expect from the first six episodes, which "have a lot to do with Jack and Kate and Sawyer in captivity."

(Psst...Speaking of, did I mention I know where the three of them turn up in the season premiere? I'll let you know in Monday's chat, if you want to know.)

Question: Where Are the Newbies?
Answer: Far, Far Away From the American Press
None of the new series regulars attended the DVD party ("They can't say anything right now," we were told). However, I was able to track down Brazilian superstar Rodrigo Santoro (whom I was so excited about meeting, I learned Portuguese!) on the other side of the world in Brazil--or rather, in a Brazilian newspaper that just interviewed him. I mention this because the article (decoded by yours truly and my trusted Brazilian native) has some interesting information.

Em
25-08-2006, 10:30
For starters, Rodrigo said that he won't appear on the show until February, and that he first met Damon and Carlton when he was offered a role on Alias--but had to turn it down because he was under contract with Brazil's Globo TV. Turns out, Rodrigo is still under contract with Globo. He said they're letting him take a sabbatical to shoot Lost, and then he'll go back to Globo, so it doesn't sound like he'll be sticking around all that long in Hawaii. (Either that or he eats robots. My Portuguese isn't perfect.)

a d v e r t i s e m e n t
And then there's the money quote. The interviewer asked if there will be a side story of Brazilians on Lost, and Rodrigo said, "No. They told me that that has nothing to do with it. They told me that they thought it was funny, because in the last episode some people were speaking Portuguese. But from what I heard, I'm not one of those Brazilians. I'm going to be one of the survivors from the plane that apparently was on the island all this time. I'm going to be a character with a past."

Fascinating, no?!

You can get more on this Rodrigo article in the message boards.

Watch with Kristin: Video Clip
Terry O'Quinn
Locke-up: Terry dishes on what's next for John
Question: Will We Find Out Why Locke Was in the Wheelchair?
Answer: Yes!
Terry O'Quinn revealed that "I've heard that's going to happen this season. I'm not sure when it will happen but I have heard that it will." And I can hear fans cheering.

Question: Do Naveen Andrews and Terry O'Quinn Secretly Love Each Other?
Answer: And how!
This is one of the many fantastic things you'll get to find out for yourself when you buy the season two DVD, which comes out Sept. 5 and has tons of great extras. In the bloopers segment, there's a hilarious scene in which Locke is laying in the Hatch bed and Naveen leans down to him to kiss him, full on, on the lips, and says, "I can't quit you." Terry talks about this clandestine love affair (all in good fun, obviously) in the video clip above. He also discusses what's next for Locke, after his somewhat public frustration with how things went last season.

Question: Should You Buy the Season Two DVD?
Answer: Need You Ask?
Obviously, it's great for anyone who needs to catch up, but if you're a die-hard Lost-aholic, there are plenty of

features on there you'll want to check out, like of course, the bloopers (which Daniel Dae Kim talks about in the cute video clip at right), a whole segment devoted to Sawyerisms and an interactive segment laying out the official Lost character connections. Speaking of, Carlton teases, "There's a good Easter egg about the numbers in there that you should click around and see." Good stuff.

- This season The Monster and the Polar Bears will have more presence, as well as themes of romance and action.

Season 3 Episode 1: Tale of Two Cities.
ok well that is the title, i cant acutaully find any spoilers with it yet but i found out that, the title is also the title of a book, which some people have looked into, to see if they can find any clues. this is what i have found:
Plot Summary of the book from wikipedia:

The plot centers on the years leading up to French Revolution and culminates in the Jacobin Reign of Terror. It tells the story of two men, Charles Darnay and Sydney Carton, who look very alike but are entirely different in character. Darnay is a romantic descended from French aristocrats, while Carton is a cynical English barrister. The two are in love with the same woman, Lucie Manette: one of them will give up his life for her, and the other will marry her.

Other major characters in the book include Dr. Alexandre Manette (Lucie's father) who was unjustly imprisoned for many years prior to the commencement of the novel under a lettre de cachet and Madame Defarge, a female revolutionary with a grudge against Darnay's family.

The twists and turns in the novel are sinuous. Originally written as a serial novel for publication in newspapers, the chapters open and close with great drama and mystery. Dickens' take on the French Revolution is balanced - he describes the horrors and atrocities committed on both sides.

The two cities named in the title are London and Paris. Throughout the novel, pairs of people, places, etc. are compared and contrasted.

The opening sentence, beginning with the line, "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times," is one of the most famous in all literature. The final line, the thoughts of Sydney Carton, "It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to than I have ever known," is almost as famous.
sorry i know that probably does help, but i also heard rumours that this could a Kate centric episode.

07/21 -- The interrelationship between the outside world and the island will be something that will be a part of Season 3. The monster will be a part of Season 3, as will the polar bear. People are asking what happened to the polar bear, so we will be doing some polar-bear stories. The smoke creature and the monster are one and the same.

07/22 - Among the revelations to come: Viewers will learn more about Desmond and Penny, why Locke was paralyzed, why Libby was in the asylum, and why the island has healing powers. Source: Sci Fi Wire

07/22 - The smoke monster is definitely not made of nanobots. Kate will "make her choice" in the first six episodes of the season. Her choice is presumably between Sawyer and Jack. The word "clone" will never be heard on the show. The Powers That Be all but confirmed Libby will be appearing in flashbacks, most logically Desmond's or Hurley's. If you're asking about daddy issues, you're asking the right questions. Strong implication that an underwater hatch might exist and that it might be explored this season. The producers say the hieroglyphics on the timer translate to "underworld". Source: Kristin on E!Online

07/26 - Rodrigo Santoro, best known to American audiences as the hot dude Laura Linney crushed on in Love Actually, is joining the cast this fall. Source: The Ausiello Report

07/29[/color] - Elizabeth Mitchell has joined the cast of ABC's hit drama "Lost" as a possible new love interest for Matthew Fox's character, sources said.

07/30 - [Henry Ian] Cusick [...] said: "I've been asked to be a regular for at least a year." Source: The Sunday Mail

08/06 - It looks like [Kiele] Sanchez [from Related] closed the deal late Friday [for the third role to be casted on Lost], although I have yet to receive an official confirmation from ABC. Source: The Ausiello Report

08/07 - Jack, Kate and Sawyer open the season in captivity as prisoners of "The Others." Just who these "Others" are and what they want are primary questions Season Three will explore. Michael Emerson joins the regular cast in his ongoing role as Henry Gale, leader of "The Others." Romance looms on the horizon as Jack's interests veer towards a mysterious new woman, whose motives may be questionable. Sun and Jin will continue to celebrate their pregnancy - but is the child really Jin's? Locke and Sayid will band together with some of the other survivors and journey across the island in an attempt to free Jack, Kate and Sawyer. Charlie will attempt to return into the good graces of Claire and her baby, Aaron, but can he be trusted to stay clean and sober? The fates of Locke, Desmond and Mr. Eko in the aftermath of the implosion of the hatch are answered. Will Penny Widmore find the island and her long, lost love, Desmond, and can the survivors find a way to interact with the outside world? The band of friends, family, enemies and strangers must continue to work together against the cruel weather and harsh terrain if they want to stay alive. But as they have discovered during their 60-plus days on the island, danger and mystery loom behind every corner, and those they thought could be trusted may turn against them. Even heroes have secrets. "Lost" stars Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Mr. Eko, Naveen Andrews as Sayid, Henry Ian Cusick as Desmond, Emilie de Ravin as Claire, Michael Emerson as Henry Gale, Matthew Fox as Jack, Jorge Garcia as Hurley, Josh Holloway as Sawyer, Daniel Dae Kim as Jin, Yunjin Kim as Sun, Evangeline Lilly as Kate, Elizabeth Mitchell as Juliet, Dominic Monaghan as Charlie and Terry O'Quinn as Locke. 08/18 - Jack was just shooting a flashback all decked out in his hospital scrubs. Kate will be making a choice in the first six episodes. Jack is inside something you’d find in a science class. Kate is on something we’ve seen before. And Sawyer is surrounded by something through which he shares a connection with Jack’s father. Source: Kristin on E!Online

08/19 - According to pictures that leaked on the net, there will be a flashback where Jack performs the Heimlich manoeuvre on a little blond girl in a park. Source: Dryope [Note: This flashback was surely shot out of order to accomodate Matthew Fox who is rumored to have asked time off (to shoot another movie?).]

08/24 - It will be revealed that Jack has met one of "The Others" back in the real world; this will relate to why he is the only one they are able to cooperate with, although he will be extremely wary in the beginning. Get ready for politics-on-the-beach when the clique returns Jack-less and limping to confront a populace ready for regime change, and an aggressive new leader with a dangerous motivation. 08/24 - [During the Season 2 DVD Launch Party,] Matthew Fox was on set shooting flashback scenes with Julie Bowen (who plays Jack's wife, Sarah). Source: USA Today

08/25 - A little birdie told me William Mapother was in Hawaii last week -- and he wasn't exactly sipping mai tais by the pool, but rather, he was working his wonderfully creepy Ethan magic. Simply put in the words of executive producer Bryan Burke: "The Hatch is gone. Done. We have new sets that have been built on our soundstage, so it's a whole new world for you." It looks as if Kate is spending some quality time in close quarters with good ol' Henry. Rodrigo said that he won't appear on the show until February. Turns out, Rodrigo is still under contract with Globo TV. He said they're letting him take a sabbatical to shoot Lost, and then he'll go back to Globo, so it doesn't sound like he'll be sticking around all that long in Hawaii. Rodrigo said, "I'm going to be one of the survivors from the plane that apparently was on the island all this time. I'm going to be a character with a past." Terry O'Quinn revealed that "I've heard that [the why was Locke in a wheelchair explanation is] going to happen this season. I'm not sure when it will happen but I have heard that it will." Source: Kristin on E!Online

08/29 - New character introduced in #303. Will recur. 'Colleen', late 30's, tough, obvious military training. Doesn't flinch when a gun is shoved in her face. Trusts few people on the island and only allows herself to be emotionally vulnerable in front of her significant other. Source: secretagentman @ TWOP

08/29 - Damon Lindelof revealed: Elizabeth Mitchell is a regular, while Rodrigo and Kiele are contracted to be recurring characters. The planned series finale of Lost [is] a "happy but tragic" ending. When we meet up with the three castaways (held captive by the Others), Sawyer is in a cage! Source: Kristin on E!Online

08/29 - Expanding on the 08/19 spoilers posted below on the Jack's flashback with the choking girl in the park: Also in that scene, Sarah is talking to a male teacher who may be more than a friend, and a little girl (the choking girl?) ends the scene by telling Jack not to trust Sarah. A scene was filming at the Hawaii Convention Center today, a Locke flashback (?) at the Sydney International Airport. I saw Locke in his chair, but he was shirtless. He seemed to be pointing or gesturing as he's pushed through the crowd of travelers. It almost seemed like it was a "dream sequence." Source: The Transmission

It was a good episode, just wish they hadn't killed of Mr Eko. Looks like there is double crossing going on within The Others, and the show is starting to get a bit more exciting again. I'm glad that Desmond is now a permanent fixture.

FIRST REVIEW: By NADIA MENDOZA
November 04, 2006

THE wait is over so prepare to be blown away by series three of Lost.

The lid is finally lifted on the Others, unveiling some of the mystery that has shrouded them since flight Oceanic 815 crashed.

The first episode focuses on parts of the island that we have not yet visited; including underwater passages, Desperate Houswives-esque housing and human size cages.

The first scene opens with an opening eye - the same way the first episodes of the previous two series have started. It seems we're being warned to pay attention and open our eyes to what will unfold before us.

Ethan reappears - as do new characters - and 'Henry Gale' is established as leader of the Others. The excellent Michael Emerson continues to deliver as the creepy, peculiar character.

Kate - played by the stunning Evangeline Lily - and Sawyer (Josh Holloway) appear to have turned to each other in despair. They both have a sparkle in their eyes when they look at each other, suggesting something deeper than friendship could develop.

The flashback sequences focus on Jack and Sun - painting a clearer picture of their tainted lives before the crash.

Both of their secrets show a different side to the well-adjusted doctor and Jin's submissive Korean wife.

Matthew Fox really excels in his performance, portraying Jack's emotional and physical breakdown superbly.

Viewers will also find they are led to believe that Mr Eko has died, as he never makes an appearance after the explosion at the end of the last series.

This first episode continues raising more questions than it answers and it's clear we still have a lot to learn.

But this first episode is gripping stuff and I can't way to get Lost in the complex storyline for a third time.

Lost starts on Sky One in two weeks and will also be shown on Sky HD. Full transmission details are due to be released on Monday.

Episode 3.07: Not In Portland (Juliet-centric)
Airdate: February 7, 2007

12/21 - Jack is in command, as the fate of one of The Others' lives rests in his hand. Meanwhile, Kate and Sawyer find an ally in one of The Others, and Juliet makes a shocking decision that could endanger her standing with her people. [...] That first episode looks like it may give us another look at Others Town before the crash, as it features William Mapother as Ethan. We'll also be seeing more of Alex (Tania Raymonde) and Karl (Blake Bashoff), the kid who was Sawyer's cage buddy for a short time early in the season. Source: Zap2it
11/16 - Kimberly Estrada will be appearing as Sherry in Episode 7. Source: Kimberly Estrada Official Website
10/31 - On a remote Hawaiian beachscape where turquoise waves slither up tan sands, Josh Holloway, Evangeline Lilly and several others (including Others) are filming a whopper of a scene for a February episode of LOST. Spotting this reporter through the trees, Elizabeth Mithcell scoots over... "Well," she says, cheerfully excusing herself, "I'm going to go shoot someone." Cameras rolling, she expertly wields a Sig Sauer and pumps two bullets into someone shocking; the still-standing are left gasping as she coldly lowers the gun. Source: Entertainment Weekly
10/31 - According to some pictures, Ethan would appear in Juliet's flashback. Probably working at the same lab Juliet was. Click on the source to view said picture. Source: SpoilersLost
10/30 - "LOST" turned the John A. Burns School of Medicine into the Miami Central University's Medical Research Laboratory. And it seems like a flashback for Juliet, the new character played by Elizabeth Mitchell. She meets an older gentleman (played by Zeljko Ivanek, if this photo and Jen's encyclopedic brain are to believed). According to Spoilerfix, the guy is probably Edmund Burke. They talk in front of the building, he steps into the street... and is hit by a bus. Source: The Transmission

Episode 3.08: Flashes Before Your Eyes (Desmond-centric)
Airdate: February 14, 2007

11/15 - Ausiello scooped us on this yesterday, but in case you've missed it: Site visitor Bernard told me over the weekend that the old woman seen with Desmond in flashback pictures available HERE is famous Irish actress Fionnula Flanagan, who many people may know as the housekeeper in the Nicole Kidman movie "The Others". Source: SpoilerFix BuddyTV Spoilers Chat
11/08 - Cuse and Lindelof revealed: I think you'll begin to get a real sense of the answer to [what happened to the kids who were abducted] in about the second episode back after the break — a very real sense. I think that's a reasonable connection [to think that it has to do with Juliet being a fertility doctor]. Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide
11/08 - Lots of filming activity this past week. Last week on Nuuanu Avenue, a bar interior and a London street scene (featuring 1995 concert posters and a military recruiting office). On Sunday, filming inside the Hawaii State Supreme Court Building, with its pillars and marble and hardwood stairs. On Monday, an interior shoot at "Stanwyck's Antiques" (using the same space as Locke's "Walkabout" tour office). But the big shoot is Tuesday, Nov. 7. Fort Steet Mall, a major pedestrian thouroughfare downtown, was transformed into a busy London city street. A London Underground entrance, black taxi cabs, a newsstand and red phonebooth, palm trees turned into noble oaks... Desmond exits Widmore Industries, upset, yanking off his tie and throwing it to the ground. He then comes across Charlie, strumming "Wonderwall" on the corner and collecting change in his guitar case. Then the conversation gets surreal. Desmond is having an epiphany, and seems delirious. "Remember the rain? It happened before!" and "This is happening!" He seems to be having one of his spells of deja vu. Last scene of the day. Same London street, but perhaps a very different time. Desmond is no longer wearing his dapper suit, but rather, a drab coat and scarf, looking somewhat destitute. He's wandering around the entrance to the London Underground, ranting like your typical neighborhood schitzo. He spots and sits next to an elegant, older, white-haired woman in a purple gown. They converse. Suddenly there's a crash! People panic. It's a construction accident nearby, and Desmond stands, distressed. The woman approaches calmly. She gives him a ring. He gives her money. She walks off. Source: The Transmission

Episode 3.09: Title Unknown (Jack-centric)
Airdate: February 21, 2007

12/12 - Bai Ling reveals: The three episodes I have, it's very deep. My character says, "I can see who people are." [...] I am a very important character in [Jack's] life; like, his tattoos have something to do with me. [My character name is] Achara [...]. But, you know, what is funny about my part... she seduces him, and she's really forward, and she behaves the way she wants, which is really beautiful. It's very healthy and honest and very powerful, in a way. We're lovers, but I am kind of a mystery to him. He doesn't really know me. I don't allow him to visit me, I don't allow him to know what I really do — we're together, we sleep together, we hang out together, we're lovers. And there is a mystery, he never knows what I do. There is also a psychological twist and betrayal. Source: Kristin on E!Online [Note: According to Entertainment Weekly, Bai Ling is in only one episode.]
12/07 - Lost fans can expect things to heat up next year when Bai Ling joins the cast for a three-episode stint. The Chinese actress appears when Jack, played by Matthew Fox, has a flashback of his old lover. [...] She went on to explain that her character, who is responsible for Jack’s tattoos, stays shrouded in mystery, keeping the doctor at a distance, despite their passionate relationship in the bedroom. Source: Celebrity Week
11/14 - A wonderful location shoot in downtown Honolulu turned Fort Street Mall near Hawaii Pacific University into Bangkok, Thailand. Two blocks away, the Indigo Restaurant on Nuuanu Avenue played both a tattoo parlor, and a restaurant. All this appears to be for Ep. 3x09, a Jack-centric episode. The night shoot for "Bangkok" was as colorful as any for "LOST," with signs and lights and sexy dancers. Two days of meticulous setup netted ten seconds of footage, in which a mysterious woman in red walks down the crowded street and turns down a narrow alley. Jack follows. According to a camera operator at the restaurant location, the female guest star opposite Matthew Fox was Bai Ling. Source: The Transmission

Question: Can you tell me something new about Lost? Anything big or small would be great!— Joshua

Ausiello: Would you settle for ginormous?! After Lost's press-tour session on Sunday, Carlton Cuse revealed to me exclusively that he and Damon Lindelof are parting with tradition and not code-naming this season's top-secret finale scene after a Jewish bread product. (To recap, Walt's kidnapping in the Season 1 finale was known as "The Bagel," Season 2's introduction of Penny was known as "The Challah" and this season's climactic game-changer was slated to be called "The Matzo.") "We're actually not calling it 'The Matzo,'" Cuse said. "We're calling it 'The Snake in the Mailbox.' We were just joking about how scary that would be if you came home and you stuck your hand in the mailbox and there was a snake in there. So we thought, 'Well, that's actually a good metaphor for the surprise of our Season 3 ending.'" And this, my friends, is where things get really spoilery. [Spoiler alert] When I asked Cuse if he could drop any hints about "The Snake in the Mailbox," he offered up this fraktastic piece of prattle: "I think Penny and Desmond's relationship will become something that will be a part of the season finale."

Question: Could you give us some info 'bout the future Skate on Lost?— Jeannette

Ausiello: As I strongly hinted at a few weeks ago, Kate's Jack/Sawyer dilemma is far from resolved — despite what happened in that cage last fall. "It would be a bad assumption to assume [the triangle] was over," warns Carlton Cuse. "For that moment in time, Sawyer was the right choice. But that's not the end of it, but any means whatsoever."

Question: Will the Jack-Juliet relationship develop into something more than just captor-hostage story line?— Natalie

Ausiello: Most definitely, says Cuse. "The relationship and the chemistry between these two characters is something we're really interested in as writers. Juliet is a really intriguing character. It's not entirely clear how good she is or how bad she is. What are her underlying motives? What is her history on the island? And I think her relationship with [Jack] is something that is going to be really compelling as we run into the later part of the season."

Yay glad to know the triangle isnt over.

The next season of Lost is likely to air without breaks in the US, according to ABC Entertainment president Stephen McPherson.

The current, third season aired in two parts - a "mini-season" of six episodes, shown in October, and a final block of 17 episodes, airing on both sides of the Atlantic from February.

Speaking at the TCA tour on Sunday, McPherson admitted that next season he is considering following the lead of Fox's 24 and airing the entire season without breaks.

"I think coming into next fall there's a good chance we would run it 22 [episodes] straight, either in the fall or in the spring," he said.

Meanwhile, the exec defended the show against criticism of its mini-season, which focused primarily on just three characters.

"I liked it," he remarked. "I think [the exec producers] made a clear choice that the first instalment would be really about the experience of Jack and Kate and Sawyer and the Others. I thought it was really a riveting six episodes... but I like it when they're all together, and I think we're headed toward that when we come back."

Separately, exec producer Carlton Cuse confirmed that he was "in negotiations" with ABC over when to end the show. He added that his ideal scenario would be to produce a fourth season in 2008, followed by a "shortened wrap-up season" to bring the series to a conclusion.

Episode 3.13: Title Unknown (Locke-centric, unconfirmed)
Airdate: March 21, 2007

02/12 - [Scenes from episode 13 include] Juliet pushing Ben in a wheelchair, and Jack cheerfully lobbing a football to his sworn enemy Mr. Friendly. "Everyone should be wondering what the hell is going on," explains Fox during a break. "Has Jack been converted by the Others? Drugged? Is he pretending? All sorts of scenarios could be happening here." We will find out how Locke ended up in a wheelchair. "I was afraid it'd be anticlimactic," says O'Quinn. "It's not. It's pretty stunning. You're gonna go, 'Man, no wonder this guy wants to stay here!'" Also, the castaways discover that the Others possess a submarine. Source: Entertainment Weekly
01/21 - Also, a little casting news just broke regarding Lost's episode 13. Producers are casting the following: two O.C. homicide cops, a "firm" government employee, a twentysomething likable Caucasian guy, a "strong" and "likable" African-American guy. Source: Kristin on E!Online

Jamie in Mobile, Alabama: Are Claire and Jack siblings on Lost?

Big spoiler alert. Yes, they are. And we'll know it before they do.

From George in Tallahassee, Florida: Who is the new female regular on Lost?

I'm pretty sure she's a subterranean character. Damon and Carlton seemed to admit there's a whole underground contingency on the island in the latest Lost Redux video clip.

Note: Do not read this if you haven't seen last night's Lost and want to stay spoiler free.

Two words: Awe. Some.

As I recently revealed to those of you who follow the chat, Christian Shephard (John Terry) is father to both the good Doctor Jack and Claire Littleton. The mind boggles. (Do not mistake coincidence for fate? Really, Eko? Because these are some darn big coinkidinks!)

For those of you who haven't suspected it, the appearance of this connection might be shocking, but astoundingly, this relationship has been hinted at since almost the beginning of the show!

Don't believe me? Well, listen to our Lost expert, Dr. Anna Graham, who points out the following:

Jack's mom knew that if Christian Shephard was missing, he was probably in Australia, suggesting he'd gone there before. (1.5, "White Rabbit")
Thomas, Aaron's biological father, accused Claire of having "daddy abandonment" issues. (1.10, "Raised by Another")
Claire only knew her father when she was very young. Him singing "Catch a Falling Star" to her as a baby was one of her few memories of him. (1.10, "Raised by Another")
Jack's dad had a history of affairs. (2. 11, "The Hunting Party")
Christian visited Australia (with Ana-Lucia in tow; 2.20, "Two for the Road") and after getting insanely drunk (on Sawyer's dime, no less; 1.16, "Outlaws"), finally got up the 4 a.m. courage to demand an audience with his daughter.
Jack's dad paid the mortgage on the house where he believed his daughter lived. (Gotta love crazy Aunt Lindsey, though!) (2.20, "Two for the Road").
I don't know about you, but I think this reveal is amazing, and it's definitely a worthy payoff for all those Jackbacks!

Maybe They're on Sylar's List? According to poor brainsploded Patchy (remind me never to take Alka Seltzer), Sayid Jarrah and Kate Austen are not on the list. It seems pretty certain to me that the lists divide survivors into "good" and "bad" people, but the question remains: good and bad for what? (Better not be eating. Back off, Others—the Losties are not delicious!)

Penelope Waits, Alone: Thank you very much, Lost, for destroying my dream that at least one Lostaway has a loving family member keeping vigil for him or her at home. But no, even our sweet Claire is, in the end, an orphan. HUG!

Fan Theory of the Week: Billy in Williamson, West Virginia, writes: "On Lost I have noticed a recurring theme with Charlie's 'deaths.' Each time he 'dies' it is due to helping Claire. The lightning, the drowning, the bashed against the rocks—all due to helping Claire. What if he isn't necessarily destined to die but instead destined to stay away from Claire in order for fate to be satisfied?" Mmmm...now I'm seeing Fate as a cranky old man from Scooby-Doo, "And I would have gotten away with it, too, if it hadn't been for that meddling Desmond!"

Next Week on Lost: We finally (thank you!) find out why John Locke was in that wheelchair. (We might also find out if he's still in control or if he's gone totally Col. Kurtz bonkers!)

Mystery of the Week: Who were those tiny midgets in spandex dancing across the bottom of the screen after every commercial break? So. Annoying.

Now feel free to comment away below! I wanna know what you think of Billy's theory. And don't forget—as I've told you before, the original premise of Lost was all about the "baby being tied to the history of the island." Hmmm...

# 04/16 - A newly focused Locke breaks away from "The Others" in an attempt to persuade Sawyer to help rid them of a great nemesis that has caused nothing but pain in both of their lives. Meanwhile, a new island inhabitant discloses some shocking information about Oceanic Flight 815. Guest starring are M.C. So I called my original source (the one who said no flashbacks for 3.19), and that source said my latter source was right. # 04/13 - I can report that 3.19 is slated to be the first-ever flashback-free episode in the series’ history. The absent flashbacks for that episode, says my source, "won't even be missed." You'll see Locke again in the next couple weeks, but not revisit this story for a while. Locke's attitude about the island will come back into play. Source: Lost Podcasts
# 03/22 - LA Times reports: Now that Locke has blown up the submarine, it seems all of the castaways will have plenty of time for introspection. It will be five weeks before viewers see Locke and his father again, but when they do, the results will be an intense set-up for the season's climax, Lindelof said. Source: Lost Spoilers

04/23 - While Jack devises a plan to do away with “The Others” once and for all, Sayid uncovers a flaw in “The Others’” system that could lead to everyone’s rescue. But it requires Charlie to take on a dangerous task that may make Desmond’s premonition come true. Source: ABC
04/23 - [They are filming in a] rainy alley way....Charlie is wearing the same black leather jacket and carrying his guitar just like the flashbackscene he had with Desmond so this is a continuation of that same day Desmond met Charlie singing on the sidewalk. A lady is being mugged in the alley way... It's Naomi. He saves her from the mugger with the knife. Hmmm, so I would assume that Naomi knows Desmond because at this scene, it puts them all in the same general area on the same day. They are also setting up now at the same corner where Desmond and Charlie came upon each other in London, only they have a big "green screen", and they haven't decorated anything else, so I'm assuming they'll be bringing down the rainmaking stuff and Desmond may show up with Charlie and/or Naomi to tie it all together and they will just green screen the rest later in the background. Source: Aloha Oe via Lost Spoilers
04/03 - As for the fate of Charlie, in episode 21, his next flashback, looks like there are two females characters playing cops (or something similar), one of whom is "about nailing the perp to the wall, no matter how you do it..." There's also a blue-collar family—a father and two sons—all with Mancunian accents. (Residents of Manchester, England, are called Mancunians.) All three members of the family are "required to swim in a pool," which makes me worry a little bit about drowning. Source: Kristin on E!Online

03/01 - Life & Style magazine is reporting that Dominic Monaghan has been told he won't be back for next season. Source: Kristin on E!Online [Note: Evangeline Lily claims that Dominic doesn't know if Charlie will die or not. There have been no confirmation from cast and crew that Charlie will indeed die.]
02/28 - Producers have chosen to keep secret when Charlie's next flashback will air, which probably has something to do with Desmond's premonition in the Feb. 14 episode that Charlie is destined to die. (Characters' deaths traditionally have occurred at the conclusion of their flashback shows.) "I have to be careful to not tell you too much," says [Dominic] Monaghan, hinting only that "the Charlie stories are going to be coming toward a bottleneck. The Hurley, Sayid, Claire and Locke stories are all pushing together into a Charlie journey." And if Charlie does in fact die? "That's fine," he says with a shrug. "This job is going to end for everyone. I've achieved everything that I wanted to do. It's been a fantastic opportunity for me, and it's done exactly what I wanted it to do: distance me from playing a hobbit (in The Lord of the Rings) and have people in America know I can act." just found this - still miss charlie

Damon Lindelof tells me, "Desmond will have to deal with the aftereffects and the guilt of [Charlie's death]. He will question whether or not Charlie would have made this sacrifice, had he not told him that was what he was going to do? He will question the role he played in Charlie's death." So, it sounds like big sexy Dezzie is haunted by Charlie's passing, as many of us fans are!

It would be shame if his death didn't mean anything.. as in that his death was not done in vain. Aww Claire.. I hope she finds comfort in Jack and finds out that they're related.
