Three new faces are to walk the beat of Sun Hill as a trio of new characters join the cast of The Bill.
Actor Daniel Flynn - brother to actor and singer, Jerome - will play Superintendent John Heaton who immediately makes himself unpopular when he tries to bring about a new regime at the station .
Ex-Holby actress Christine Stephen-Daly - who played Lara Stone in the BBC medical drama - has been cast in the role of Kristen Shaw, a dodgy character who soon becomes the main focus of Phil Hunter's (Scott Maslen) investigation.
Finally, former Family Affairs actress Cat Simmons - who appeared as Scarlett Anderson - has taken on the part of trainee DC Kezia Walker. Coincidentally, her first episode also sees the guest appearance of ex-Affairs cast member Kazia Pelka who played Chrissy Costello in the now-axed soap.
All three characters will be on screen in the coming months.

me - i am so glad these are coming in it especially christine as she is one of my favourite ever actresses and i loved her in casualty and cutting it and eastenders, so i cant wait for her to join the storyline she is involved also looks really good aswell
