Coronation Street veteran Denise Welch is to appear in an upcoming episode of The Bill, it has been revealed.
She will play Elaine Wallace, a mother caught up in a drugs case who stands in the way of DC Zain Nadir's investigations.
The episode airs on June 14, and will also see PC Roger Valentine's world turned upside down when his wife files for divorce.
It's not the first time Denise has featured in the long-running crime drama.
Back in 1997, she played a character called Sheila

After three years in Weatherfield, Denise left the show and went on to star in Holby City and Doctors.
In 2005, she popped up in low-budget British movie The Jealous God with Jason Merrells.
They re-teamed this year for BBC One drama Waterloo Road, which also starred Corrie veteran Angela Griffin.
Tim Healy will be following in wife Denise's footsteps when he plays Sean's estranged father in an upcoming Coronation Street storyline.
