No, i can't be, people have lives!! they can't just drop their job to appear on that show everyday, Plus if it was live, then Noel would say the name of the competition winner each time, rather than it being flashed up on the screen!!

The competition, made it the dead give away, to it not being live. Plus the ammount of time it would take, it would would be totally inpractical, if you think about it.
