On the morning of Monday 15th May at the crack of dawn, 40 giant KitKat
juggernauts containing the 100 Big Brother winning Golden Tickets rolled
out of KitKat HQ in York heading for retail depots throughout the UK.
The giant trucks, each carrying thousands of bars of chocolate were
loaded under a maximum security operation overseen by a team security
staff from Big Brother. The trucks were escorted by their own Big Brother
motorcycle escorts to prevent any loss in carriage.
The depot deliveries will be taking place throughout the next three days
and the organisers hope to have supplied 40,000 outlets spanning the
length and breadth of the UK by the time the Kit Kats go on sale on
Thursday 18th May at 10:30pm
Lucky punters who pick up a winning KitKat will be in with a once in a
lifetime chance of entering the Big Brother house as the final contestant.
On discovering a golden ticket, each of which are printed with a unique
security coding, purchasers will have to ring a special 24 hour telephone
hotline number for their chance to land a place in Big Brother 2006.
The lucky winners of these tickets, having passed the programme's
prerequisite and thorough background checks, will be invited to pack
their bags, say goodbye to their loved ones and head down to the Big
Brother studios for a special live TV broadcast where one of the lucky
ticketholders will then be chosen at random to enter the house.
The KitKats will be on sale in retail outlets ranging from the major
supermarkets to local convenience stores, newsagents and confectionary
kiosks in train stations. The tickets will be in KitKat four finger single bars
and KitKat chunky single bars.
The Golden Ticket competition opens at 10.30pm on Thursday 18th May
and is available in 24 hour stores and from opening time for other
retailers on Friday 19th May. The competition closes on Friday 2nd June
at 10.20pm.
