CORONATION Street is bracing itself for double trouble... two battling brothers based on Oasis hellraisers Liam and Noel Gallagher are joining the cast.

Bosses were inspired by the Manchester-born rock stars to create bolshie older brothers for aspiring pop singer Michelle, played by former Hear'Say star Kym Marsh.

They are now looking for a two young men to play the jack-the-lad brothers, who will arrive on the Street in late summer.

And they are hoping their new recruits will trump EastEnders' warring siblings Grant and Phil Mitchell in the soap ratings battle.

A source said: "These lads are going to hit the street with a bang. Like the Gallaghers, they'll be loud, proud and dangerous to know.

"Their sister Michelle created friction from the off - and these boys are cut from the same cloth.

No i think Corrie decided to extend her contract, i can't wait for her brothers to arrive, not sure if they will be as good as the Mitchells though. :)

She could probably do both, the late night hollyoaks usually ony lasts a few weeks it isnt permanent
