big Brother has had its first blazing row — a week before the show starts.
Tempers flared between a director and a floor manager when E4 host Russell Brand smashed up the garden in an unplanned TV stunt.
He leapt on the housemates’ fully-laid table and booted plates and glasses — shattering them over the seats and lawn.
Then he hurled apples in the Jacuzzi and lobbed a chrome bowl across the garden, churning up the grass. Brand — who hosts Big Brother’s Big Mouth — had been filming promotional clips.
But his antics caused a female floor manager to call the director a “complete idiot” and demand he pay for the items.
Set workers then argued about who should clean up the mess as Brand fled.
A witness said: “Brand was kicking plates and glasses everywhere. Then he ran off and the director got it in the neck. The floor manager screamed, ‘I can’t believe how stupid you’ve been’.”
A Big Brother source said: “There was a lot of tension.”
Ex-heroin user Brand was sacked by MTV in 2001 for going to work days after 9/11 dressed as Osama Bin Laden.
