It's really like... pointless in a way - I mean who writes a song about wanting to be a punk rocker with flowers in their hair... just weird lol. But it's really catchy, I keep getting it in my head.

I LOVE IT! It's so easy to get it stuck in your head. I spent the whole day at work and drama singing it and I annoyed some people but others joined it! Tis a fab song! :D

My friend actually saw one of her webcasts before she was given a record deal. He talks about her so much, I just had to listen to her song. It is great!

The only thing wrong with the song is it is rather short. I noticed that when I listened to the cd, it's about 2 minutes and a half long, I think.

It's ok, not a favourite as it knocked Crazy off number one :rotfl:

Yeah same here, I was watching the video and it was just really short... I thought there was going to be more to it - would be better if it was longer :D

It annoys me. There is no beat, it's just her singing and her voice annoys me. Unfortunately, it's very catchy.

I was confused originally by this song, it has the same title as the B side of the 1978 classic 'We're On the March Wie Ally's Army'

I can't remember all the lyrics but it started:

I wanna be a punk rocker but my mammy willnae let me
She says if am a punk she'll throw me oot an hit me
I wanna be a punk rocker but I canna be a punk
Cos ma mammy willnae let me be a punk
Oh no, nae chance!

Scots a a certain age should remember this well.

It was some comedian or something? Andy Cameron I think!

Jessie Wallace

Punker rock with flowers in hair, refer's to the two years that she then sings, in 77 and 69. Those two years refering to the the punker rocker years and the hippy - flowers in hair years.

Ok granted 69 was the hippies but punk rocker they were not and punk never had flowers in there hair.. needle in their faces yes.. trust me I was there

Jessie Wallace

She's not saying punker rockers had flowers in their hair, she's saying the hippy of 69 did.

It was tongue in cheek, Andy Cameron was a middle aged Glasweigian. The song was awful and hillarious in equal measure.

Looking back at 'we are on the march wie ally's army', the tartan army was not always humble and accepting of their fate. I think that this song was partly the turning point for us. We were actually rubbing in the fact that Scotland qualified for the world cup in 1978 and England did not.

'When we lift the world cup 'co Scotland is the greatest football team'

"England cannae dae it cos they didnae qualify"

God it makes you cringe! But we learned a lesson, I think
