Don't know if there's a thread on this (the check threads seems to have disappeared lol)
But yeah, I was in Woolies the other day, and noticed that season 1 is now on dvd!
That must be ages ago, there on like series 20 now.
I watched a really old one on UKTV Drama, Charlie has lots of brown hair. Its so weird.
that could be quite fun to watch to see all the old characters in (although ididnt really start watching it untill a few series in). I wonder if it'll then be about 20 years until series 20 (if thts where they are up to now) is out on DVD then

From holby.tv
Following on from the successful launch of the first series of CASUALTY, Series 2 of the medical drama is set for release on 10th July.
The DVD releases are part of the BBC's special anniversary plans this year and the third series is also planned for release in September.
The second series of fifteen episodes includes storylines such as the dramatic stabbing of paramedic Sandra Mute.
Original cast member Duffy is also set to guest return for a one-off special later this year in Cambodia as well as other ex-cast returns rumoured.

I think it takes at least another 6 months or year for another series to come out. For example all 7 series of Brittas Empire in a matter of 3 or 4 years, a couple of series of Waiting For God and most anoyingly only the 1st series of Birds of A Feather - and the company behind that don't even plan to release the rest.
So I agree with some of you that it's a waste of money to only bring out 1 or have of a series of good shows. I'm sure when they say they don't plan to release more, that that's a sign that they're perhaps in production and they want to keep us guessing as to when they will release more.
Which is naughty, but I guess how they make their thousands of pounds here and in other countries.
