Early periods?

i know its normal for the length of time between your periods to differ slightly due to stress or whatever, but how much is normal? mine used to be exactly the same length (3 weeks 6 days) and had been like that for over 5yrs, then when i was in hospital about 18 months ago it really stressed me out and so it was just over 4 weeks. after that the time changed to about 3 weeks 4 or 5 days but still remained around that time, unless i was really really stressed about something and then it went to about 4 weeks. so anyway, this was all fine, but if they come too closely together should you be worried? its only been just over 2 weeks since the last one and im not stressed or anything, so is this normal for it to happen like this?

I had one period like that, but I'd only worry if you had a few in a row over the same time scale.

before i went on the pill and that regulated my periods mine were never regular, i don't mean like i'd only have one every 3 months etc, but sometimes it'd be every three weeks, sometimes an extra couple of days, sometimes 4 weeks. so i don't think it's anything to worry about too much. and yeah, i think stress can affect these things and it gets all outta sync. although if you are concerned about it there's no harm in going to the well-woman clinic or family planning doc or similar.

Lots of things can affect your periods - how long in between, how long they last etc. Stress is a huge factor in changing your pattern. See if it settles down a bit, which I'm sure it will, but if youre concerned, have a word with your gp, nurse or well woman clinic.

3 weeks and 6 days is 27 days so that is about normal.. the average is 28 days cycle.. When I was younger I got them very 2 weeks, had to get the pill at 16 to regulate them.. once I went 6 months without one and i have all sorts of test done.. I just had lazy ovaries. because the pill doesn't produce any eggs my ovaries decided not to do that themselves for months

hmmmmmm im not sure if ive confused people or not, i meant that my normal ones were that long so i knew that was ok, but wondered if this one was normal as it had only been about 16 days?
