Nappy rash

Shannon has nappy rash and it looks really red and sore! When the boys had i just applied sudocrem and it was gone the next day,hers has been like it for about a week now,its red and blotchy.I have tried leaving her nappy off as much as poss to let the air get to it,changing her really regular,used several types of crem,salty baths but still wont go.
Do you think i should go to docs now and see what they suggest as it may of turned into something worse now or can you suggest something else ?

yea go to the docs he will give you something to get rid of it

When Ben got a really bad rash, I got him powder (can't think of the name but it is in a pink box and is used always for nappy rash). I also changed his wipes to the one that contained a soothing balm (johnstons with the green stripes). His rash cleared up no problem

I should have a word with your doc/heath visitor - it could be that its become slightly infected or is slightly thrushy and just needs some different cream to clear it up

Yeah il book her an app.it does look rather nasty and doesnt seem to be getting any better.

It is called candecene or something similar.. you can get it in powder or cream.. my god mother gave me some when I had Charley and I swear by it

yeah it should be in the baby section.. pink box it comes in. It contains Zinc or something and has been around for years

Went to doc in end bout her bum and also rash she had under her chin which i thought was caused by the norm dribbles and milk dripping down but.. her bum and neck got infection so they gave her cream for both and medicine antibiotics but the med gave her the runs which didnt help her bum at all so stopped that and the cream has helped her neck alot and bum a bit,looking better each day
