Bomb police exploded a Mission: Impossible III promotion in America after it caused a bomb scare.
In a joint venture with the Los Angeles Times, music players were fitted to the newspaper dispensing boxes commonly used in the US. The plastic red boxes would play the film's famous theme tune when the dispenser's door was opened.
In some cases, the wires started sticking out of the box, though, and sometimes the whole box would fall onto the papers.
This quickly alarmed terrorism-wary Americans, several of whom alerted officials.
One rack north of Los Angeles was made "safe" in a controlled explosion.
The paper expressed their surprise at the mistake. "This was the least intended outcome," said spokesman John O'Loughlin. "We weren't expecting anything like this."
4,500 of the devices have been placed with the intention of "turning the everyday news rack experience into an extraordinary mission," according to planners.
The remaining boxes will stay in place until May 7.
