Do you play a musical instrument?

I play the flute but I'm giving it up so that I can concentrate more on the drums.

It's a fun instrument to play. If you are thinking of starting to play, here's my advice: don't spent a load of money on a practice pad thing, use the yellow pages. Buy some beginner sticks and put the radio on and try to keep time with the songs. Trust me, it helps :)

You play alot. I'm going to get my younger brother to teach me how to play the guitar :p

I forgot about the voice! I remember in my first year at secondary school we were doing blues music and the teacher said, "What is the most important instrument in this piece of music?" and everyone was saying "Drums." and "Guitar." ect and he said, "No. The most important instrument is the voice." and a couple of kids were like "But you can't play your voice!"

Sorry about my little story there. I couldn't help myself :D

What can i say, i love my music. At the moment drums and guitar, as my too favourites/passions. I play my guitar everyday, and Drums when ever i can get hold of a set, but just use my sticks on my desk at home otherwise.

I play the flute and piano. I havent had lessons for a while but i till play them alot. I learnt the recorder in junior school and have sefl taught my self the guitar and sax as my brother has them. I now want to buy a piccallo as they are quite similar to the flute but a bit of change.

If you do give up the flute lessons i recommend that you still keep playing it yourself. I personally found both flute and piano more enjoyable since i stopped lessons as now have more freedom on the music i play

I'm a cello techer, and I played professionally in a folk band in the past. I gave up playing when I had my son, as I had to concentrate of him and earning regular money, as being a professional muso isn't the best paid job in the world!!!! I am going to get back into it after I have had this baby though, as the band I used to play in are going to reform after xmas

I have recently started piano lessons at 41 years of age - so you are never too old to learn, lol

My hubby plays guitar and one of my boys trombone and drums and the other trumpet and piano.

we have a very noisy house - and everyone is talented except me, lol
