View Full Version : Doherty,what a ****!
Controversial musician Pete Doherty has been photographed injecting a young female fan with what appears to be heroin as she lay unconscious on his kitchen floor.
The newspaper also published photos of the singer injecting himself with the drug at his flat in Hackney, East London, claiming that the pictures were taken within the last five weeks.
One source told The Sun: "Doherty will self-destruct. He has no regard for his or anyone else’s safety. It’s one thing killing himself, but to inject a young girl as she lies on the floor is a disgrace. He should be in jail."
This is the latest in a string of drug-related controversies involving the star, who is currently on probation and participating in an 18-month drug rehabilitation programme after admitting to seven counts of possession.

I saw that pic and i agree, im sorry but if this guy gets let off then im disgusted with the legal system in this country, not that i am anyway, the way criminals get let off over here its horrendous! Its just ashame the guy has got himself into such a low thing, he is actually incredibly intelligent (unlike me who cant even spell lol), and a brilliant songwriter, but after seeing that photo its just horrific!

he gets away with it because he is a celebrity. The only way he is going to stop what he is doing is for a judge to put him in jail or in rehab but I don't think he wants to be helped

it is sending out the wrong message about drugs if you can be seen to get away with it all the time!

Cops arrest Pete over fan Laura injection
By Nick Owens & Nikhita Mahajan
THIS is Laura McEvoy - the young fan junkie rock star Pete Doherty is alleged to have injected with heroin as she lay slumped on his kitchen floor.
The ex-convent schoolgirl was pictured yesterday being led from her parents' home by police as Babyshambles singer Doherty was arrested in a dramatic early-morning swoop.
With her hair dyed black, Laura, 21, flicked ash from a cigarette as she and her parents left the family home in Romford, Essex, with two police officers.
Five hours earlier Doherty, 27, was grabbed by police at 6am in a local store after being followed from his flat in Hackney, East London. He was being quizzed over the shocking pictures of him appearing to jab a needle into her wrist, before injecting himself. Last night Laura's mum Theresa said: "We know about the arrest but none of the family is making any comment."
In our other picture above Laura looks like a normal carefree girl as she relaxes in a pub.
But pals revealed she was a wild child outside school who was obsessed with Doherty, (below) and his music.

They said her infatuation with him began four years ago when he fronted The Libertines and went to the Carlton Tavern pub in Kilburn, North London, which her parents Joseph and Theresa ran. Laura was a barmaid there and soon got embroiled in the dark world of drug abuse surrounding him.
An ex-schoolfriend at the nearby Convent of Jesus and Mary High School said: "At school Laura kept herself to herself, but outside she was a good-time girl - wanting to be the centre of attention. She liked the attention of men and they liked her. She loved rock music and had a thing for Doherty's music."
Laura became his friend and went to lots of his gigs. At first Doherty - the on-off boyfriend of model Kate Moss - saw her as just another groupie, but they've been close for more than a year. Yesterday another pal, who has spent boozy nights out with Laura, said: "She's heading for self-destruction. No one was surprised at the pictures.
"I can't see the obsession with Doherty ending. She is potty about the bloke and always has been. The last thing she needs is a guy like Doherty. I hope she sorts her life out, otherwise she'll end up dead."
Forensic officers yesterday carried out a fingertip search of Doherty's flat.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of recklessly administering a noxious substance. He is in custody at an East London Police station. We have identified a woman allegedly photographed in a newspaper and a statement is being taken."
