After that rumour that Nick cotton would be killed off-screen, thankfully it turned out to be false. But then on Digital spy it said that Nick would not be killed off but he would have cancer and Dot goes to visit him. Does this mean that Nick will be actually returning to EE? It would be great if this did happen as Nick is my favourite villain. Since his last came in 2001 I always hoped he would come back again.

from what i've read i dont think hes coming back,but dots going on a break for a bit and nick will be the reason why she leaves the square for a time

No he will not be coming back. John Altman said in an interview with soaplife. I would be happy to post it if anyone wants to read the complete interview.
the scenes with nick and dot will all happen off screen as the point of them is to give june brown a break
