Eva Longoria insists she won't renew her contract with Desperate Housewives because she has her sites set firmly on Hollywood.
When asked how many more seasons of the drama she expected to be filmed, Eva said: "God, I hope not past our contract. Honestly, I think shows wear out their welcome.
"I don't want to be on [American TV series] Seventh Heaven - for 20 years and no one's really watching and it's hanging on by a thread.
Even now there's no amount of money that would make me decide something for a career. And I want to do movies anyway."
awwwww she cant leave i love her character
I read on the more magazine website that it's because she wants to start a family.
It is a shame she won't renew hew contract though.
I love her character. hows start to fall apart if one of the main ones leave, so Desperate Housewives better be careful
xxx
their contracts are usually 5 season long in america so i wouldnt worry!

It just goes to show that some people think there better than television shows. She wants to do movies now, so in all likely hood she will probably drop the show even though it put her firmly on the map, there's just no loyalty nowadays. Besides what if her movie career never takes of? then she will be a fool
The series is going down hill so fast that I would be surprised if it sees a series 3.
lol well i hope there is a series three and its better
i have to say as much as i love desperate houswives i hope it doesnt go on for too many series as its already gone down hill slightly since series 1. some series can have many series (e.g. friends) but some should stop whilst they are still successful
however it does slightly annoyong that Eva seems to have the attitude that she's better than TV when its this prgram thats really made her famous
