Hot-pant wearing Jessica Simpson is following in Pamela Anderson's footsteps by taking a part in the new Baywatch film.
A source said: "Jessica really caught the eye in The Dukes of Hazzard film last summer. She was the unanimous choice for the Baywatch role...
"Jessica has all the assets to make Pammy's part her own."
The bombshell will join a plethora of busty beauties in the film, including Carmen Electra, Yasmine Bleeth, Traci Bingham and possibly Pamela herself, who is rumoured to be making a cameo in the film.
Producers are still courting David Hasselhoff, 53, who played Lt Mitch Buchannon, to join the cast.
