Maggie tells Joanne and Jamie the news about their father as the
medical drama continues. However, Joanne misunderstands that
Maggie thinks she should go. Maggie tries to cover up her upset,
and tells her she should go if it makes her feel better. Later, she
watches sadly as Jamie and Joanne leave together to go and meet
their father.
Elsewhere, Ellen breaks down in front of Nina and says she can’t
fight the cancer and that it killed her mother. Nina tells her she’ll
fight it with her.
Meanwhile, Alice packs up her plants as her four-week trial has
come to an end and she’s certain she won’t be asked to stay on.
However, Sam coaches Alice on how to impress Tess and she is
thrilled to learn the job is hers.
