What did everybody else think of tonights episode? It was a bit slow starting, but we really saw the Rebecca storyline bubbling tonight didn't we?! This storyline really has effected the entire family hasn't it. Ian hasn't been involved with a Fowler quarrel for a long time, now he's brought Jane along for the ride as well. We really saw how much Jane loved Ian tonight didn't we. Could you believe Margaret agreed to let Pauline see Rebecca, is she crazy?!
It wasn't nice of Ian and Pauline to route around in Sonia's personal boxes was it? I knew they were going to find something they weren't supposed to. It's nice to think Sonia still thinks about Jamie though. He was a big part of her life, and it's clear some of her heart still belongs to him.
I couldn't believe how understanding Sonia was tonight. After the big row on Friday, you'd think there'd still be a lot of tension between the pair, but Sonia even made Pauline a cup of tea at the end, and agreed to stay there with Pauline. She was so nice!
Crrrazy!

Quite right, and after all the stuff Pauline said to Sonia on Friday, Sonia couldn't of been kinder to her this episode. At the beginning she decided to stay with Dot, but made it clear to Pauline it wasn't to hurt her feelings. Sonia felt unabe to cope with the situation of Rebecca, and she thought it was better for herself to be alone.
But at the end Sonia decided to stay at Pauline's because she didn't like to think of her being alone. Sonia even made her a cup of tea and gave her a hug. Sonia is really in need of a mother figure, not to interfere but somebody to be there for her when she needs it, and give her a hug. She seems grown up, but part of her is still a child. I'm the same age as Sonia, and I'm certainly not as brave as her. She really needs somebody.

I can't believe that Pauline, Ian and Jane are going behind Sonia's back like this. It's Sonia's daughter for god's sake and if she's not allowed to see her or have anything more to do with her, then why should Pauline be allowed to?
God, Pauline makes me so angry!

i thought tonights was great no moons,no johnny and girlfriend ,the writing and acting was excellent-what more could i ask for
I'm enjoying Eastenders again now, it still has a bit of hotting up to do but it's going in the right direction. Pauline and Ian had no right to go snooping into Sonia's stuff. Jane was just standing by her man.
I liked the Keith and Darren scenes very touching and showed a good father and son relationship.
The Dot driving Lesson scenes hilarious as is any of the commical moments with Jim and Dot. Derek was actually quite interesting tonight, I think that it was the combination of Patrick and Jim.
Sonia is really in need of a mother figure, not to interfere but somebody to be there for her when she needs it, and give her a hug. She seems grown up, but part of her is still a child. I'm the same age as Sonia, and I'm certainly not as brave as her. She really needs somebody.
I feel this is where Dot comes in. As well as being her grandmother, I think that both Dot and Jim are like a mum and dad to her as well. Always there for her, always welcoming her with open arms.

Yes I think that Dot and Jim do have a nice relationship with Sonia, and they do try to give her support, Dot gave her a nice hug last night, which she needed. However I don't think it's the same as having a mum around. Dot and Jim try their best, but I don't think they understand half the stuff that's going on in her head. Sonia is quite traumatised at the moment, and all she's really got to turn to is Martin, she's the person she shares most of her thoughts with, but I think even he is struggling to see what's she's been going through.
I think it's great though that Dot and Jim's door is always open, and it's always made clear that if Sonia ever needs a place to stay, if things are getting to much, she's always got a home with them.

I felt so sorry for Sonia near the end, when she decided to stay at Pauline's and make peace with her because Pauline had finally stopped shouting and moaning at her about everything. But the only reason Pauline was being nice to Sonia was because she had gone behind her back and was feeling guilty. I wanted Sonia to get suspicious about Pauline's sudden change of attitude!
