Hi Aunt Sally,
My problem is this.
I have been married for 2 years & me and my wife have been together
for 7 years and are very happy. So why can't i get her sister out of my mind.
She is a terrible flirt and whenever we are at family gatherings she teases me a lot, and i don't just mean with knowing looks, she touches me when nobody is looking. Just a quick touch and off she goes.
When i first got with my wife her sister flashed at me (she says she
didn't realise!) and it has been going on ever since. She has gone to give me kisses goodbye after visiting our house and as soon as my wifes back is turned she pushes her tongue in.
I just don't know what to do as i know that one day, its going to go further than just kissing, as she is so beautiful and simply irresistible. She used to send me extremely graphic, sexual texts, butthese have stopped lately.

Firstly, no matter how attractive, beautiful or irresistible you find your sister-in-law you have to realise that you are in a loving relationship which will be destroyed if you give into temptation. The thing you are risking the most is your family.
Secondly, you need to be cruel to be kind. Let your sister-in-law know that you don't appreciate all the flirting she does with you and that you view her more like your little sister than sexually, and therefore nothing could ever happen between you. Does she have a boyfriend? Maybe that's an avenue she needs to explore so she can channel her desires in a more appropriate fashion.

if its what he wants and it sounds like it is the way hes wrote the problem it seems like hes wanting the agony aunt to approve of it especially as he said it will go further oneday
No, he wants to put a stop to it BEFORE it goes any further. And if he did, he would be cheating on his wife. I'm sure several of our female contributors would be more than willing to publish a list of things they would do to their husbands if they ever did that!
well it sounds as though hes not happy with his wife because if he was he wouldnt even be tempted in the slightest

No, it is not just because he is a man but as you rightly point out, they are more known for it... The woman sister should know better too then to do that with her sister's husband...
If he is not happy with his wife then he needs to call it a day, cheating on her will not solve anything,
I cant help thinking what kind of woman would do this to her sister and openly try it on with her husband,
I agree with some of those comments if its offered on a plate to a man they cant help themselves! However he needs to realise what this will do to his wife if anything was to happen.
I personally think he needs to have it out with this girl set her straight remind her that He took those wedding vows and intend to stick by them. She need to leave him alone

Lets face it his wifes sister doesnt want him, she just wants to prove to her sister she can have him, if he does go further with him, his wife will leave (if she has any sence) and his sister in law will dump him. He is only a game to his sister in law

Yeah, i agree RealityGap. It sounds like it the sisters who have the problems. The sister is just using him to try and get at his wife!
I am a bit miffed as to why everyone is 'assuming' he isn't happy with his wife!
I think we have all been in situations where temptation over rules all rational thought.
I think this guy has done well to shy away from the sister in laws advance for so many years.
Maybe instead of going the 'typical male' route people should give this guy a little more support and encouragement.
I read into the "its going to happen" thing a different way.
I don't think that he is saying he is going to do anything, or will do anything.
Sounds to me more like he is finding it harder and harder to say no and maybe the sister in law is getting more pressurising.
Well done original poster, i think you have done well, and to be able to write it down, to me, proves you don't want anything to happen, and that you do love your wife, and not what most think, that you want to leave her, sadly not everyone reads it that way and just thinks the 'Ahhhhhh he's a man' thing.

i think that your wifes sister is an evil cow and i hope you tell your wife before anything happens. hopefully your wife will disown her as i would if i found out by sister was doing that.
however when she first done something you should of said something, its not too late to say something though

It's a really complicated situation, im not sure what to suggest. I think he really should have told his wife when it first started...but her sister could have twisted it around, and said that he's been the one coming onto her. And in the end...i think she'd have ended up believing her sister ("blood's thicker than water" and all that) I cant believe her sister's doing this though, I really hope she gets found out in the end.
I agree, imagen if his wife had caught the sister sticking her tounge in!! she's not going to beleive its all the sisters fault!!

If you ask me it sounds like forbidden fruit syndrome, you have to try to put a stop to the firting as other people being attracted to you even if you do not originally feel the same way often leads to more which will cause alot of hurt and destroyed relationships. Also it says alot about your sister in law she clearly has alot of issues with your wife proabaly relatiing back to childhood insecurities maybe its not even shes that attracted to you and that she just wants to get one over on her sister would you really want to ruin a marriage for this? and make a bad relationship (between the sisters) a whole lot worst. This is the sort of thing that ruines families.
