What have i done to my computer?

I've just turned my computer on, and it came up with something like


Your profile cannot be loaded, as it may be corrupted. Please contact the administrator

Now its on some wierd profile, and all my files are gone. I dont know what happened, or how to fix it, so can anyone help please!!

(NOTE: If i disappear for several days, then its broken completly, so i cant get on. Just thought i'd say)

So please, any help with what happened, and how to fix it would be much appriciated. Thanks :)

Well i know i only just posted that, but i *think* the problems sorted. I've reverted my hard drive back to the beginning of March, and it looks like its working.

But if anyone knows why that happened to it, then i'd love to know myself, so i can stop it happening again- i just lost a banner i spent last night making, i dont wanna lose anything more important next time, like coursework or whatever.

i'm not totally sure, but that happens when we got through an exceptionally cold spell and the hard drive jams. but back up all your stuff now

I always back up my important stuff anyway, its just random things i lost, so it could have been worse.

We haven't had a cold spell or anything.... i'm thinking i got a virus last night though- could that have done it?

Hi a file became corrupted and moved itself, and when you did a system restore you uploaded the file again and put it back in its right place.
Keep us informed if you get the same trouble again.
