prom dress

hi its my school prom in may and i need to wear a dress. i ant to wear a cocktail dress have you got any websites or shops that you know sell them. would apperciate your help.

I've been looking for Prom Dresses as well, because its mine in June too :)

I'd check out debenhams first, if your not sure what you want. They have loads of dresses (some are designer ones though, so be warned, they can be expensive), so you might get some inspiration as to what you want. Also if you have an "ocean" shop enar you, then they sell nice ones at a more decent price.

I haven't brought mine yet, i might just hire one, but from doing that, i know exactly what i want :D

Try TK Maxx, they have gorgeous dresses in there and at bargain prices :p
If your looking for just a black cocktail dress, why not try oasis or somewhere like that?!?

gadders, go to TK Maxx i got mine from there today. its black, laces up the back and has dimante bits on the top at the front... i'll post a picture later. and it was only £35! they had loads, you just have to sort through them all really

its knee length, so i can wear it again. i tried on some full length ones, but the problem is i have short legs so they would need to be taken up and i'm not too keen on heels! i can;t walk in them, so i only need to get some small ones for this dress

Well, i went up the west end today, and brought my outfit :D

Its a really dark purple colour. The top is wired, so its like a corset, and is VERY fitted (which is fine by me!). The bottom just flows downwards. Its not puffy, it just flows nicly. It's down to the floor as well, which is always good! On the top part, it has little sparkle things, in little flower shapes, which makes it look really detailed, and just generally fab!!

I'll try and find some pictures in a bit...

Its a two-piece dress, if that makes sense, too, so it's a bit different to what everyone else will have. When i have it on, it just looks like a dress though :lol:

It looks ten times nicer in really life, but those are the only pictures i can find....

On the top part, i'm wearing it without the straps, cause it suits me a lot more. On the bottom part, the bit with all the material goes at the back, which makes it look really prom-like.

i got my prom dress from debenhams i thought it was well nice in there for what dresses they had !!! or if you type in google images for prom dresses it brings up different websites, but i thought the problem in gettin it from a website is if it arrives and if doesn't fit you or you dont like it your stuffed !! lol - but yeh debenhams is good.
