Does anyone go to pilates classes?

I've been told to go by my physio for treatment of my split rectus muscles (stomach), but i'm not sure what to expect. The last time i did any fitness classes was when i was 18, after I had Ste and that was aerobics!

Was wondering if anyone could tell me what to expect - I'm not allowed to do sit ups or crunches etc as that could split the muscles further.

My mum used to do pilates, she really liked it. I think she said it was quite relaxing.

If you use to do areobics this will be easy,it is like the old style keep fit with a warm up and then its mainly floor work laying down raising legs and air cycling,leg work,as in lift and hold and they do, do some sit up's but you can always,do extra exercise on your bottom or something.

Sounds good - I think the main bonus for me will be having a break from the family too :rotfl: Must give the sports centre a ring and find out when its on... thanks guys :D
