Read in Inside Soap or Soaplife today (might have been mentioned) that Grant will sleep with 3 women during his stay in Walford. Apparently he'll do a bit of cradle snatching, I'm not sure who that is? he mentions that he forms a close relationship with Ruby, but I doubt it'll be her. Maybe Dawn, who is quite a lot younger than Grant, but not underage. I don't think he'd go as far as to sleep with somebody under 16. I just reckon it's somebody a lot younger.

Then there's his wife, and somebody else who he is with predominantly (I think he's referring to Jane). Also there's somebody a lot younger after him, not sure about who that is.

Post your ideas. I'm so glad Grant's back!

It's definetely happening with Jane, that's the woman he's going to be with predominantly. But I'm not sure who he cradle snatches. Even though Carly is about 15yrs his junior she is married, so it wouldn't be like taking advantage of an innocent child. Neither would it be with Dawn. That's what I thought cradle snatching mean't. But maybe he just mean't somebody younger, not necessairily innocent.

I think the Fox's are coming into it in the summer. They may collide with Grant. He's filming for 3 months, so he might be on the screen for quite a while.

Don't know how it develops, but it won't last long. Ross Kemp is only filming for 3 months, he may be back but not for a while. Grant has also got a wife, and I don't think he'd leave his family for Jane.

He must have kids with carla as he doesn't know of the existence of Mark Junior and courtney couldn't exactly be referred to as 'the kids'. Unless carla has kids from a previous relationship/marriage.

EASTENDERS' Grant Mitchell gets an extra dish on the side - as he shares a passionate kiss with cafe girl Jane Colins.

Jane, who lives with her boss Ian Beale, tries to peck Grant on the cheek as they leave the cafe but the married tough guy kisses her on the lips.

The clinch sparks off an affair that sees Jane, played by Laurie Brett, dump her boyfriend.

An Albert Square insider said: "She and Grant discover they have an instant attraction and can't help but act upon it."

Ian rounds on Jane when she helps Grant's brother Phil build bridges with his estranged son Ben - and Walford romeo Grant (Ross Kemp) is there to comfort her.

The source added: "Ian's driving her into Grant's arms. Jane tries to avoid Grant but try as she might, she can't refuse him."

Viewers see their explosive kiss on April 20. However, things come to a head when Grant's wife Carla arrives from Brazil.

Sounds brilliant! Especially Phil catching Jane and Grant together. I wondered who would catch them and it seems to be getting steamy aswell. At least Grunt is gallant enough to whisk her off to the club s inner sanctum , pop open the champers and, probably with a peg firmly attached to his nose, whisper sweet nothings in her lughole.

They kiss passionately, but thinking twice about it, Jane slips effortlessly from Grunt s grasp. Well, with half a gallon of cooking oil still on her, she s like grease lightning.
With Grunt acting like an eager if bullish boxer dog wagging its tail, this is hardly the love affair of the century. But it s entertaining enough with the fragrant Jane returning to the club the next night after another row with Ian. Far from treating her like a special lady, Grunt sweeps the contents off the office desk and gets down to business there and then.
Are you sure this is what you want? he smooth talks.
Does the earth move for her? The stapler and blotting paper certainly do, and there s no false modesty on the Lord Of The Apes part.
Let s just say, last night was a little bit special, Grunt gloats in the cafe the following morning to an embarrassed Jane and a bemused Ian. Yeah, last night was just of those nights where everyfing just comes together. One of those magical nights where everyfing fits an you wake up in the mornin with one wish. That it could all just appen again. And again. And again.
D yer know what? Ian scoffs as he walks out, I would love to stand ere and listen to your exploits, but I ve an appointment with some haddock.
Even so, he fails to smell anything fishy between Grunt and Jane, although they suddenly appear to be closer than Siamese twins.
And Ian is not even suspicious when he catches them in the Vic cellar and Grunt claims he had asked Jane to help him shift barrels.
I fort she looked athletic, Mitchell man claims feebly.
In that case, it s a shame she didn t do a runner, then.

Oh god. She doesn't even own the club yet and already she's messing it up. Firstly, Grant doesn't work for her, he works for Jake. She has no right to a say in anything until she's 18. Secondly, I'm pretty sure that firing someone because they won't go out with you is sexual harassment, or at the very least unfair dismissal. There'd be outrage if Grant fired a barmaid because she wouldn't sleep with him or something, so why is it okay for a 17 year old girl to do the same. :thumbsdow

Yeah, but she'd know that Grant wouldn't challenge it. I think Grant would probably still feel sorry for her. He knows she's not a malicious person. Her family have gone, and Grant knocking her back would seem like another rejection, she's bound to be upset.

Maybe we are going to see a female version of Johnny Allen emerging?! (without the murder part!).

If she's going to run a business once she hits 18, she needs to learn you can't fly off the handle and fire someone just because you're "upset." She's only going to learn that if someone pulls her up on it now. People continuously pacifying her is doing her no good.

Yes your right! I do think Jake should say something to Ruby. And I would think he would in that situation, considering how nice Grant's been to him. But even if Jake asked him back, Grant would probably refuse, knowing how Ruby feels about him. I think his mind is made up to leave anyway.

I think if he was to return he may be able to talk Ruby round.

His cheating Brazilian wife Carla begs him to give their marriage another chance

Never let it be said that Grunt Mitchell doesn't have a way with terms of endearment - especially about his stunning Brazilian wife, Carla. Yep, this is another beauty and the beast story!
According to him, she is "a lying, cheating, deceitful, two-timing slut". But Peggy loves the daughter-in-law who turned up last night, Courtney loathes her, and Grunt's had enough of his trouble 'n' strife.
"Don't bother," he tells her as she prepares a romantic candle-lit dinner on Monday night and slips into a figure-hugging red dress to try and seduce Tweedledumber.
"I know you an' I know your little games. So you fink I'm the kinda guy that forgives 'is wife for sleepin' around? Look, it's over, just accept it."
Although he knows Carla was having an affair with a man called Ray in Rio until three weeks ago, that he has pledged to Courtney he will never get back with the wicked step-mother, and that he has secretly slept with Ian's missus Jane, and "foxy" 19-year-old Chelsea, he still succumbs to Carla's latin lover charms.
But with spoilt little madam Courtney having a tantrum when she sees them in bed together the following morning, and Peggy happily bustling in with mugs of tea, Grunt realises that domestic bliss is not for him. "I knew this was a mistake," he tells Carla, all but throwing her out of bed.

Quite how a middle-aged, out-of-condition slaphead could pass up on the most beautiful woman ever to slip under his duvet is a mystery.

Firstly, Grunt claims that it's because she has betrayed him. Secondly, because she and daughter Courtney don't get on - but then that applies to most people who find mouthy, precocious nine-year-olds obnoxious anyway. Finally, he still has the hots for Jane.

"Talking ifs, buts an' maybes, right?" he says to her in the cafe. "If fings were different, do you fink you could be with me?"

"The answer would be yes, but," Jane begins. "I think you an' me would be great. Magical, perfect, all the fings that two people should be. But I can't see how we can get anywhere near it, without hurtin' all these people. I'm with someone, you're with someone, an' there are all these kids involved!"

"So it's a no?" Grunt jumps in abruptly. "Yer gunna leave me to the mad Brazilian?"

"Fraid so."

Before you can say "There's an awful lot of coffee in Brazil", Grunt has come up with a new scheme for family harmony. Along with son Matty who Carla has left in Rio, they will all go and live in Portugal.

Strangely, the sneaky wife is reluctant to return to Brazil to tie up their business there, say goodbye to friends, or even collect her own son. So maybe he will be Fed Ex'd to the sunny Algarve in due course.

"Please give me another chance," Carla begs Grant. "Everything I said to you I meant. From the bottom of my heart, I just want to be with you."

And if he believes that, he's a bigger mug than we thought!

In all about soap i read what grant does to carla it looked really funny putting her in the dustbin a real classic. that might be the mag i looking through today in tesco! is there pictures of grant and ray scrapping and peggy slapping carla? i cant wait to see all this

she is like a really bad Selma Hyeck!!!! Stereotypical Latino but with no umph!!!! Why does she want Grant??? It is obvious that she doesn't want Courtney but they come as a pair. To be honest, having seen grant with her, I have come to the conclusion that grant would get up on a horse if he thought he would get some action. He was with Chelsea (to make jane jealous), Jane (haven't found reason why yet) and Carla (cause Jane said no to him)...
