View Full Version : Healthy foods
Thought id start a thread for us dieter where we could review the healthy stuff in the hops and whethers its nice enough to buy or tastes discusting etc..
for eg:krackajacks - choc chip flavour are discusting imo
salt and vinager are edible but not great
be good to yourself apple and cinnamon bars are nice from asda
I have a personal trainer, and he advsies not to eat any low fat foods that arent weight watchers cause they are usually filled with sugar. Problem is,it can have loads of sugar / salt but still be low fat - the sugar is how they make it taste nice.
I looked at cereal bars and had a fit at how much sugar was in!
Also, snak a jacks are awful ! i read a magazine that said one bag has 25% of the recommended salt allowance for a WHOLE day!
crackerbread is really nice, as long as you watch what you put on it!!!!!!

spicy how can u manage to eat healthy food at ur age because im around the same age(15) and im always tempted when all my mates are buying crips and chocolate. u got any tips?
APPLE CRISPS!!!
I am addicted to them! They are like 99% Fat free, and baked so they are like good for you!" they are fab, although of my mates don't like them , but hey more for me!
hey are avalible at tescos and are 70p and they are in a tin! :p
Just incase ya wanted to know!
If i want healthy foods, then i make them myself, then i know exactly what's going into them. So i make healthy apple crisps (not tesco's ones, Layne :p), flapjacks and cereal bars etc. Its a lot cheaper, and even if it does take more effort, its worth it :)

Well the crips are really nice, as long as they are low fat and around 150kcal I consider them good crisps  The taste is just as same but it's all just healthier :)
Fox's do nice healthy bars and they are gorgeous lol, try some Kellong's Special K bars which are sweet.. anything which is just not like the normal product is good
You can have the occasional bar (every two or three days is occasional for me :rotfl:) now and then and it's alright with all those lovely healthy snacks around!! Just remember to do a good amount of excerise and eat fruits and veg.
